Yeah, hence why my viewing has stalled. A break before I acquire S3. S2 dented my enthusiasm for the show somewhat and you can visibly see Gareth Thomas become less and less interested!

Meanwhile there is a 'hilarious' B7 April Fool's story doing the rounds. I really hate April Fools crap. Wish it would fuck off.

Today I have watched two episodes of Blake's 7.
One was fab, far better than I remember, ticked all the boxes for me and I loved.
The other was dire.

Bearing mind that SyFy have already funded two pilot scripts before, I'll be more inclined to credit this when I see some evidence of them actually filming something. As to S3 of the original, it is.... somewhat patchy. There are some cracking episodes in there, but on the other hand there are some real stinkers. I'd be inclined to say that B7 never really manages to be quite as consistent as the first season, but the later seasons do still have some real gems in them. Karl

Colin hams it up nicely and eventually gets scenes with Darrow, Valentine Dyall is fab, it's just a shame the three of them don't end up in a scene together. Not a typical Blake's 7 episode though.

I quite enjoy City on the Edge of the World. It falls into that category of "episodes that have nothing to do with the shows themes" but manages to be quite entertaining nevertheless. I think Colin Baker made the right decision by overplaying Bayban - the character is absurd, and given that he is going to have to share the episode with Paul Darrow I think any kind of nuance was not going to work at all.
(The rest of your list is pretty much my list of "gems" for the Season as well to be honest)
