Whoops! Bit overdue posting in here.
I'll be there! I just won't be travelling in the way I originally planned...
Speaking of which, is anybody arriving on Thursday night/Friday morning? I may need some help unloading a delivery van. A strong back and a fondness for manilla are not required, but having someone around to watch the pile as it is transferred from van to foyer and foyer to room would be helpful to the point of being mandatory. Anyone up for it? Hubbers get a discount at the stall already but I'm sure I can find other methods of compensation* for time and services rendered.

I live in Birmingham so am about Thursday night, but I've been unable to get Friday or Sunday off because the selfish sods in the office are all off on real holidays. If you need a hand Thursday I can be about, as long as it isn't too late and it is after work time.

Now I have paid off Karl and Nick for train and hotel costs, I'm all set! At last I am now 100% able to go. Will put some cash aside from July's wages for spending. Hurray!

I'm just wondering how long everyone is staying for? When are you arriving? Whose going home Sunday night? whose staying till Monday morning?
I've been looking at when to go to Birmingham. I stated looking at Friday and found all the tickets were £54. Alternatively I can go Megabus to London and then train to birmingham for only £6 but its about 8 hours.
Alternative 2, travel down on Thursday for £16 by train and another £13 on the hostel. An extra day for £20 less sounds ok and shouldnt interfere with work.
Decisions.

I'll be down there Saturday morning and leaving again Sunday night. I had originally intended to get up there Friday and leave again on Monday but work commitments scuppered that plan. I've still got to book my hotel though. I tried to get through to them for most of last week without any luck and have been too idle to pick up a phone on some of the other days!

I received my AA lanyard and information pack today through the post and also managed to book my hotel so I'm 100% going now. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a single room with the AA2009 discount and had to settle for a double room instead but at least it's all sorted now.
