I'd love to see a few videos of AA2009 on your Stardub channel Ralph. People post videos on YouTube from the convention every year and it would be nice for you to join that list.

I'm traveling down from work on Friday and staying the weekend. Looking forward to seeing every one again! Must check who's phone numbers I have so I can locate you all when I arrive - but I guess that'll be the nearest bar.

Bullring is mostly clothes shops. There is a good Entertainer though (not open Sundays) but it can be expensive. Sometimes there are good deals.
There are three HMVs in the city centre. There's a Forbidden Planet a bit out of the way, but sometimes it has some good deals. The best shop, as previously mentioned, is Nostalgia and Comics, which is very near the convention venue.

well depending on when i get paid, i'll be shopping either friday or monday, possible early morning saturday i could do with going to a comic shop |

Nostalgia and Comics couldn't be closer - it's right UNDERNEATH the hotel and as soon as you walk out of the hotel and walk right onto the main part of Smallbrook Queensway it's the first shop you come to on the right! Ultimate geek location for a convention or what?!!

The only downside of the Bullring is that there seems to be no way out once you're in it. The Scots crew have visited Brum several times and whenever we're there, no matter what direction we walk in we still end up back at New Street Station. It's like a Möbius strip. In the end we always ended up having to get a train out of there. It may be a plot by the local council to raise public transport revenue.
