Can't stand kickboxing films although my brother loves them. He's got a large number of van Damme films on DVD as well as all three No Retreat No Surrender films (I think only the first one starred van Damme) and three of the five Kickboxer films made. He also has on video this appallingly bad kickboxing film called King of the Kickboxers which follows the same plot as virtually every other kickboxing film - a kickboxer is killed in a fight and his brother (sometimes his twin brother) vows to get revenge by training to be a professional kickboxer so that he can face up to the person who killed his brother.

Yeah, they all tend to follow the same pattern! The acting in Bloodsport isn't too good, but the fighting's ace!

Double Dragon? Not sure I recall that one, is it a Jet Li movie? Much preffer Li to Jacki Chan. Jacki Chan plays ever part exactly the same! Very watchable kung-fu films of course.

Double Dragon was the film based on the classic game, released in 1994. It was pretty awful, but I have watched it 2 or 3 times since I have had it on DVD. Is a classic example of how far Robert Patricks career fell after Terminator 2. Mark Dacascos is very unnerving playing a teenage Jimmy Lee, when he was 30 at the time.
If you can pick it up cheap, it may be worth a laugh.
I Suppose Super Mario Brothers movie may also fit in here, though I haven't seen it in years. More utter tosh, but you still watch it.
in regards to Jackie Chan vs Jet Li argument, I enjoy them both, but I don't compare them as they are too different. Chan is more comedy based, where as Jet Li is more serious. The film based on the seventies series Monkey, which both are starring in should be interesting.

It's Mint! Another Core lover! Mrs Shockprowl wont believe it!!! I saw The Core in the cinema. It was great tosh. Perhaps the cheesiest moment when Bald Military Bloke asked Hero Scientist how much he needs to build a Save The World Drill by saying "Wil you take a cheque?" -Ralph

Okay, finally thought of one and now I cant believe it took so long to come to me. I seem to be the only person in the world who likes this, even Stallone doesnt seem to think its very good. Yes thats right
"OSCAR!!!!!!"
Were else do you get to see Rocky, Tim Curry and Marisa Tomei together in a 1920's mafia setting? Thats right nowhere.

Why is Demolition Man listed in this thread? I didn't know it was on, so will watch in bed, This film is great and in no way shit, Its the best Stallone film which isn't a Rocky hit,
Sandra Bullocks bad acting fits in with her naive character well, Ron Schneider not credited what the hell? Stallone wanted the bad guy to be Jackie Chan, Instead Wesley Snipes was great as a bad bad man.

The script is funny and full of wit, But Stallone and Bullock's acting is kind of shit... Martin

Stallone's gone downhill of late, His acting has passed its sell by date. In Rocky he was good, Tango & Cash was a dud. So were his other 90's films which suffered the same fate.

Just checked TV guide and I am not amused, Once again living in Scotland my TV has been abused, Instead of Demolition Man we have In the line of Fire, I was looking forward to seeing Stallone defrosted in some futuristic Fryer.
Same thing happened on Saturday, When turned on BBC1 to watch Match of the Day, Instead of Liverpool beat Newcaste three nil, It was the crappy Scottish cup which made me ill.
Sandra Bullock is shit in every film I have seen, Why in the nineties was she always on the screen? Yes Stallone's non Rocky films have been shit, except Demolition Man as I enjoy it.

Gosh that's mean To put on your Scottish TV screen In the Line of Fire and not Stallone. I don't blame you if you moan. But checking ITV's website You're not alone in your plight. For Northern Ireland in that slot "The Taxman Cometh" have got.
EDIT: ITV are rather silly To change the half-ten film willy-nilly While their News at Ten is untouched and fine Despite BBC1 News at Ten being on at the same time.

I'd like to add Event Horizon to this list. Yes, it's a bare-faced rip off of Alien and The Shining, and the dialogue and acting are laughable... But there's just something about it... Mx

Tremors? Well done modern low budget B-movie. Tremors is a masterpiece and doesn't deserve to be in this thread. "I couldn't even get penetration with elephant guuuun."

Sequels do tend to be worse than the originals. The Alien trilogy (or quadrilogy or quintilogy or whatever they are these days) have a fantastic sequel but a terrible second sequel in the form of Alien 3. Likewise, the third Crocodile Dundee film is hopeless compared to the first two.

The second live-action Ewok film was better than the first one though.

Now that is a good film. It has all of the hallmarks of a classic - special effects, a bloke who saves the day, a leading lady and a bunch of people wearing washing baskets on their heads.

Big Trouble In Little China. "Big Trouble in Little China" is a fairly horrible film. But a lot of the time it is horrible _on purpose_. It certainly isn't high art but it can be entertaining. The best thing about it is the fact that Jack Burton hasn't worked out, even by the end of the movie, that he isn't the hero..... Karl

A film I watch when it shows up on Sci-Fi channel (which is a fairly regular occurrence) - Vampirella.
Roger Daltrey's worst acting job - which is in itself a feat.
