Unable to find anywhere to drop laptop in for repair today. Not happy. Will try again tomorrow.
The training wheels have come off at work and now I have to figure out what the hell to do. Agggghhhhhhh.
First driving lesson today. Oooo.

Shitty ending to the week spills over to the new week. Without going into detail the reasons for my friend's suicide attempt are coming out and it's not good.

When you don't need a computer fixed, you see loads of ads for places that do. When you do need one, you can't bloody find one that does Windows Vista. FFS!
In other news, my current typing speed is 42 words per minute. So there.

Today we hired a minibus to take me, my mum and dad and half a dozen visiting relatives to Oban. Six hours in a bus with a cousin on the verge of a nervous breakdown quietly taking it out on the rest of us. Fun. I wish I knew how to help him. I wish any of us did.
Not shaping up to be a great week in Hubland, is it?

Indeed not.
My folks have just been in an accident returning home via the M25. Some lorry crunched their car and drove off. Don't know many details yet other than that they got away with only a few bumps and scraps which is the important thing. Car is a goner though.

Sorry to hear about various stuff going down. Hopefully the tide will change for the better.
Been having some problems with a prat down my end of the woods whose been pushing my buttons and its been hard to resist the urge to knock his block off. I do avoid this person as much as possible but like a bad penny he happens to turn up to things I go to and also shares some of the same friends as I do.
My other problems with this person is that he is a bit of an Animated 'Dirtboss' and someone who uses his training position as a guidance councellor to letch around other peoples girlfriends or just women in general (one of them being my wife). Its pretty out of line.
I had George almost in tears some months ago because this guy upset her, and of course this slimeball selectivley retcons things like they never happened and makes out others are the one causing the problem. George normally does'nt give a crap about others saying upsetting crap but this time around was different. It's only been because of George stopping me that I have not done the worst to this person.
I'm dealing with a sleezy customer who twists things and knows when to time his remarks. A social housewarming barbeque the other day marked for me having to take the time out and having George calm me down because of some subtle digs directed at me about my weight. I remained blissfully ignorant because it was at someone elses house and I didn't want to cause a scene or create a mess.
Shame my avenue for sparring recentley went belly up. I need to pick up and slam something. Am at the end of my teather here.
Oh... I do find Barn Buddy on Facebook relaxing though.

Revenge can be yours for the pricely sum of £3.50:
Step 1) Obtain individual's mobile phone / home number if you do not already possess these things.
Step 2) Go to local train station or other venue where 'print it yourself business card' machines exist.
Step 3) Pay your £3.50 for 50 business cards (or whatever) and create professional looking prostitute / other embarrassing services cards featuring their name and numbers. Other popular favourites include 'earn a 2nd income', 'grab-a-gram coke dealer', 'models wanted', 'Take-Away Pizza - first order half price'.
Step 4) Distribute said business cards around local area - student areas are especially receptive to these kinds of things but don't do it near your own place.
Step 5) Avoid laughing as they discuss the number of calls they are receiving from people for the above services at your next social gathering.

After rather more effort than it should take, I have found somewhere who said "yes! we can fix that!" when I described the increasing death of the laptop. You would think computer repair outfits don't want to make money. Popping it in Saturday morning. Hopefully, it won't explode between now and then as it gives off alarming heat now.
Windows Vista fucks up machines, I'm learning.

Chris, your plan is certainly a good one but dragging other innocent people into the feud is something I don't recommend.
At work today my gaffer pissed me off by nicking this small tabletop clipping machine from me whilst I was using it and replacing it with a clapped out one just so that one of his favourite departments could get their work done. It obviously didn't care to him that it would slow down my job - all he was interested in was that the other department would get theirs done! My fellow workmates however lightened the mood later on though by singing appropriate songs related to the job like 'Please Release Me' and 'Help!'

Hero, it's so tempting to teach this guy a lesson, Fight Fire with Fire etc, but I doubt he's worth getting in trouble for. And I have a feeling he'd get you into trouble. Is some kind of an harasment charge an option? Either from his employers or the police?
Hello Sportsfans! Hope everyone ok out there!
Took Piglet to see an Angellina ballet show today, she loved it! On the way there, little sausage was a tad travel sick in the car. At bath-time, Mrs and I were asking her what her best part of the day was, expecting her to say "When Angelina danced" or something, Piglet infact replied "When I was sick" !!!!! Strange child!

Thanks for putting it all in perspective, Shockprowl! A lot of us are having a ropey week but so far you're the only one who's had to deal with toddler-chunder and you just take it in your stride. Awesome.

Although I find your idea a lot of fun Chris, I have a thought at the back of my mind telling me that 'what goes around comes around'. Reading the plan certainly brought a smile to my face though.
What I am considering is finding out where the workplace of my problem is and having a word or tip off. Surely the letching is an abuse of postion. Either way, I am going to have to deal with this jerk one way or another and take him down a peg or two.

Facebook readers will have been following my latest Broadband tale of woe. Following the Broadband would not connect saga of weeks 20 & 21 I've had an absurdly slow connection - the engineer that came out then told me I was capable of getting 3meg. I'm a realist, I know I will rarely see this. But I reckon 1+ meg is reasonable to expect. Well just before the last trip to London I found a line speed checker at www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/ and that told me I was getting 135k. Eeek, that's not good. I also found www.bt.com's estimated line speed checker and that said I should be getting 3meg as well. (By contrast it claims my Mum aught to get 5meg and she gets between 2.5 and 3.5) So after several phone calls to BT Mumbai they've managed to detect a fault at the exchange and we have an engineer coming in the next 48 hours. Watch this space

Orange (how I hate them) recently put up the broadband price by a fiver a month, promising speeds of 8meg. Unsurprisingly, speed remains at 1.1 meg.
Had terrible runs today. Far too much time in the loo. Then a sudden wave of fatigue at 4pm. Odd.

Gastro virus. Should pass in a day or so.
Piglet has entered the 'Obsessed about the poo and where it comes from' phase (Which apparently all toddlers go through, I was pleased to learn). Danced around the other night singing "Rudey rudey poo poo! Rudey rudey poo poo!" wiggeling her bottom. Freaky child!
