"My hostages need me!"
He should team up with Waspinator. (To fight crime!)

Just saw Koji Gets His Wish.
Who's the baddest shark around? Who's the smartest shark in town? Sky-Byte, that's me!
That should've been the 2001 Christmas single.

I should like to see Sky-byte and Waspinator team up to fight crime.
In Miami.

The end shows Sky-Byte on Earth being happy and that makes me happy. (The fact you can tell that Galvatron's actions w/ the robo-bats have been altered in the dub doesn't...)
The bit where Koji walks into the Autobase entrance to find nobody's there anymore is surprisingly emotional viewing for this show.

Finally reached "Attack from Outer Space" in my own occasional watch-through. I'd forgotten how much I liked Movor's only significant speaking appearance in the show. He really does exemplify the phrase "hard to get good help" in this episode. That and his slapstick inability to shoot anything from orbit other than his own leader somehow endears him to me.

I'm quite disappointed with the lack of Sky-Byte tribute videos on Youtube.

It does seem to get a lot of R2 DVD releases, doesn't it?
The entire UK must be full of RID love! RIGHT LASER!

It does seem to get a lot of R2 DVD releases, doesn't it? The entire UK must be full of RID love! RIGHT LASER! This is the 4th release. There were the two red boxes, then some random el cheapo single discs of the first few episodes, then the last 2 box sets now this complete series boxset. I heartily approve of RID being continually in print and cheap too! -Ralph

For those with Sky, RID is currently on Jetix every evening. Quite entertaining!

Why couldn't Armada have been an RID continuation?

You mean other than the fact that Hasbro would have had to fund that all by themselves, as "Car Robots" had crashed and burned for Takara?

IIRC 'Car Robots' only aired on TV Tokyo in Japan, which is the equivalent of the death slot in terms of outreach.

Nothing could save Armada. It was a flawed concept, storywise.

Goodies and Baddies fight over these little guys - doesn't sound that bad a concept, the comic got two good Furman stories out of the concept (of course the Minicons could talk there which helped).

He put RID in The Ultimate Guide, if that counts. I don't know about Cybertron.

Cybertron's part of the "Unicron Trilogy" continuity, so he's done that. RID though, nuffin except the Ultimate Guide which probably doesn't count.

Over the past few days I have finally experienced the first four episodes of this show. After all the fuss with the Sky-Bite love, I had to see it for myself.
Wow this show is really bad. Hopefully if i can get into it, I will see why so many people find it "so bad, its good".

Hopefully if i can get into it, I will see why so many people find it "so bad, its good". Noooooo it's amazing! It does take a few eps to get going, it really picks up once Scourge and his Decepticons pop up and the show stops trying to pretend Sky Byte and his goons are any sort of credible villains.
