I know! Imagine how high I'd have to be, and how much food I'd have had to eaten to do what he'd accused me of!

This isn't in the same vein really, well technically it is, I once mentioned offhand that I might do a comic where TFA Blitzwing met my ROTF Superion figures, and now someone who follows my comics keeps pestering me about why it hasn't been done yet my response tends to be "well...I don't think it will be funny" XD

So, I have had a blocked ear for the last few days, not been able to hear a damn thing on the right hand side. Finally, after a particularly loud pop, I can hear again! Yesss.

Dear God, not Man Flu!
As I finished vacuuming today, Piglet, in a not uncross voice said "Now that's just enough of all that silliness, come and play!"
I know who's the boss a me.

Had a great time at the tip today breaking stuff. I finally got rid of two broken microwaves, a sky box from 2001, my old scanner, a old computer tower and two old monitors.
I bombarded an old washing machine at the bottom of the large skip with my makeshift ammo. One of the microwaves went through the screen like a treat after throwing it down at a strategic angle.
Breaking stuff RULES.

Went to FPG to pick up a Doc Savage book and the last issue of Wednesday Comics. Forgot to buy the latter.

I'm not even sure what man flu is anymore... but whatever I've got is annoying though I'm trying to keep active.

I've been closely following the activities of the local swans all summer. They had six signets, who are doing fine. Unfortunately, another adult pair have moved in to the area and killed the local daddy swan. They tried to do the mummy swan in but some locals intervened. They're still hanging around. Yes I know it's nature but swans do mate for life and all and I do feel terribly sad. -Ralph

I applied for the Sellafield Graduate Scheme yesterday. Today I had to do two multiple choice tests- verbal reasoning and numeracy. The numeracy one was hell- 18 questions in 25 minutes, all involving tables of data and questions involving number juggling and rather more percentage calculations and triangulation than I've done since... well, since the last time I did a numeracy test. Don't think I got the job that time either. Arse.
It all fell apart on question 12- work out the turnover of a company for the following year based on the changes in two factors that had no immediate relation to turnover that I could see over the previous two years. I just stared, dumbstruck, faffed about frantically with the numbers, realised I was running out of time incredibly fast and just gave up and clicked a random answer. Had to do that for the next two. I thought I could do question 15 but then the time ran out. Panties.
The verbal reasoning one was much easier and I finished it with 8 minutes to spare, but there's no way to find out how you did until, well, in my case until they email back to say "thanks but no thanks". Shit.
EDIT: Also, I seem to have developed Tourette's. Does anybody work in an industry that has these tests? Is it better to answer questions you have no clue about randomly and charge to the end or to ensure every answer you put down is right even if you miss the timer? Not that it matters to me as I haven't done either, but it might be worth knowing for the future.

Not that it matters to me as I haven't done either, but it might be worth knowing for the future. It depends how they mark them. Usually they will tell you to take your time and not to guess. When they do that, it means 'we will mark them out of 100% ho ho ho" so you might as well guess. Sometimes though they are kind and mark them out of how many you attempted, with the amount taken in context. I used to do that as part of my job, usually they'd be marked out of all of the available answers for fairness. Also no-one usually EVER finishes all the questions, it is pretty rare. You can do, and I have on occasion (depending on the company that made the test bank) but don't feel bad if you don't finish. Aim for 3/4 done completely right. Also I bloody hate the verbal reasoning ones. I'm an English graduate, and I usually had issues with some of the answers they gave as 'correct'. Give me maths any day!

You better do as Piglet tells you and be pretty sharpish about it! Darn tootin! Did I mention she started Nursery School last week? All dressed up in her little uniform! AAARRRGH!!!!!! Mrs Shockprowl was talking to her today, and asking her about her favourate foods (Piglet's favourate food alternates between chocolate and sausages, according to the Little Centre of the Universe. I supect her actual favourate is bread). One of the questions Mrs Shockers asked was "what do you like more, sprouts or brocoli?". Piglet thought a while, and said in a very condifent voice "Crisps." That's ma girl!

Went to an entertaining talk at the museum in the morning given by a curator/lecturer in Welsh folklore. Then over to the castle for the Great British Cheese Festival. Cost a good few quid to get in, but after that it's unlimited cheese tasting. Most of the exotic cheeses were nice to have a little bit of (except for one yucky one which may have been Wensleydale with ginger) but I knew I'd get fed up of the flavours if I bought the likes of them, so I ended up coming home with an oakwood naturally smoked west country cheddar and an organic 'Perl Wen' brie-like cream cheese. And four pot breads, six Welsh cakes, a box of olives stuffed with chilli, a bottle of Welsh medium white wine and bottle of Welsh cream liqueur. Mmmmmm. And I had an organic lamb burger with onions for lunch on top of all the cheese tasting.
Yum!

On Thursday I booked in time off from work for Auto Assembly next year and yesterday it was confirmed which delights me. I can plan my next trip up to Brum without having to wait until the last minute to book things.

Had two back molars pulled today in hospital. I did not like the cracking noises. Now I hurt again. Between the tooth infection since May, the hernia op two weeks ago and this I've almost fogotten what its like not to be in pain. Still thats all my problems resolved, except the root canal in three or four weeks, well it was that or have it removed as well. Stupid infection. Andy
