Megan Fox help me, but I've just pre-ordered Transformers Revenge of the Fallen on Blu-ray (the American version since it's multi-region). I don't think it's out in the UK for another month after the US release.

I spent the cash I would have used on ROTF on Crank 2.
I'm happy with my choice.

Anything's got to be better than that pink Starscream they gave away with the HD-DVD in Japan last time!

Does Amazon Japan ship internationally?!?! All those exclusives are nice, mind. I was thinking yesterday, shall I bother preordering it, or wait for the price to drop? Play has an offer for for 25% off selected Transformers products when you buy the DVD, which I might consider.

Amazon JP does ship internationally. I used to have an account there (long since forgotten my password, etc) from which I got a couple of books. That was in 2004, though, so not sure sure if they still do it. There was an option to view pages in English.

Never mind, I just realised what the Amazon price is in pounds.

DVD's in Japan are astonishingly expensive, compared to prices over here.

I learned that pain when I was collecting the Car Robots DVDs. I thought the prices were just inflated because they were being sold on a collector's site, not realising they were the RRPs!

ROTF on Blu Ray is winging its way.
BUT!
DVDWorldUSA shipped it _and then_ let me know that an separate IMAX version is coming out as well.

Yup. The parents are in America next month, I think a stop in the nearest Walmart will be in order.
Imax can' make it worse.
Can it?

I saw the IMAX version at the cinema.
It amplifies the film.
So, depending on whether you like the film or not, it makes it much better or even worse.

The BD has arrived but there's something weird going on!
It says "dialogue has been changed from the theatrical version" on the back of the outer sleeve.

I didn't notice any new dialogue from the Twins, but Wheelie did ask Jetfire if he'd shit the bed that morning. I don't remember that at the cinema.

It seems I am mistaken, as a few of the US board posters remember Wheelie saying "Someone shit the bed this morning" at the cinema.
