I think there have been two runs of those. But hey, I got Rose and The Day of the Doctor today. Have we had a spine moan? What the f*** were they thinking?! the titles don't align!? don't they know who they're dealing with? I did warn you!!!! -Ralph

Having loved the new Target books I really should pick up the reprints from recent years...as I didn't get them!!! I have brought shame to myself. Which ones were reprinted in the current trade dress? -Ralph Are these the ones with off white covers and Archilos illustrations? I've got a dozen from when they first started doing them which strictly I don"t need.....

Ta for looking, Blue. Going by eBay sales those prices look pretty favourable, but I'm going to stick to looking for TV stories for now.

The index in Based On... says 20 have been reprinted by the BBC, but I remember one of those runs was the set that included some of the Virgin Missing Adventures and they all had weird arty covers, not the Archilos style ones.

Oh right, that was the 50th anniversary series and apparently Remembrance was the only TV story in that set. There's a list of the BBC reprints on the Tardis wiki: tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Target_Books2011 Doctor Who and the Daleks Doctor Who and the Crusaders Doctor Who and the Cybermen Doctor Who and the Abominable Snowmen Doctor Who and the Auton Invasion Doctor Who and the Cave Monsters 2012 Doctor Who and the Day of the Daleks Doctor Who and the Ark in Space Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster Doctor Who and the Tenth Planet Doctor Who and the Ice Warriors Doctor Who: The Three Doctors 2016 Doctor Who and the Zarbi Doctor Who and the Web of Fear Doctor Who and the Dinosaur Invasion Doctor Who and the Genesis of the Daleks Doctor Who and the Visitation Doctor Who: Vengeance on Varos Doctor Who: Battlefield

It's certainly an appealing looking collection to have. I'm having enough trouble getting the originals done though. The only series I have where I've gone for multiple reissue versions is the Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks. I've got three different series of those.
edit: Looking at Amazon I didn't realise all of those Target reprints are still in print. I thought they were short run things. That *is* appealing, especially as the older ones use the original art.

Nope, nope. Not going to happen.
I haven't at all just been looking at current prices for those books instead of getting on with my marking.
No! I haven't!

I still say the BBC need to find someone to do a partwork of the Target audio readings. So many of those are unobtainably priced now. 110 releases over 13 years with madly differing spine styles? Get on it, someone without a really poor customer service record.
(which would exclude every partwork seller going as far as I can see).

Now we watch helplessly as Pinwig travels down the rabbit hole of "Owning every cover variant" ... which involves buying at least one HC which was never used on a PB. Then there's different coloured logos....

I am now gripped by Target fever again! I will take those books, Phil!!! Then I will find the other ones! NO MATTER THE COST!!! Sometimes I hate this collecting mentality. Since I got mine out of the loft, put them into story order, added in the six or seven I've recently bought to fill holes and then put them all up on a bookshelf for the first time in god knows how long, I've really been inspired to finish the set off.
