"Alistair Reynolds" and "writing a Doctor Who novel" are not phrases I ever expected to see assembled to form a sentence, and Pertweedoc/DelgadoMaster book too....
I quite like some of Reynolds previous work so I am fascinated by the thought of what he might do with Doctor Who.
Colour me interested.

Blue Box is brilliant. I'd like it if more books used the 'restricted narrator' device

I have not read that one.
The Moorcock book has risen to the next book due up on the reading pile. I am shamed into finally reading it when I saw the paperback on sale.

We must all resolve to read it, For inside may be some wit. If paid I have, Not to read would put it down the lav.

I have seen the Dan Abnett Doctor Who book out in the wild. Same format/price-point as the Michael Moorcock one.
I can see me purchasing this as reading material for my December perambulations.

BOUGHT! I had planned to get them and cannot pass at that price. Thankfully their system allows me to ship to a different address. We will see if Royal Mail can find my place of work... -Ralph

Regretably the Asda here does not appear to have it either. Apparently this book simply does not want to pass through the Great Barrier to Falkirk.

They use a courier. Chance of delivery: 0.0% based on past experience. And the courier website tracking system denies the existence of the package. FFS! Why must I always have trouble with the postal system?! -Ralph

I think the phrases "Douglas Adams" and "US Hitch Hikers Fans" explain it it all.

I suspect that they are not banking on needing the cover to sell the book to be honest. They are going to sell it on title and author, so an actual eyecatching cover probably doesn't need to be part of the strategy.
