Regretably the Asda here does not appear to have it either. Apparently this book simply does not want to pass through the Great Barrier to Falkirk.

And they say the Great Barrier cannot be breached! But I say that is a lie! A delusion!

BOUGHT! I had planned to get them and cannot pass at that price. Thankfully their system allows me to ship to a different address. We will see if Royal Mail can find my place of work... -Ralph Ah. They use a courier. Chance of delivery: 0.0% based on past experience. And the courier website tracking system denies the existence of the package. FFS! Why must I always have trouble with the postal system?! -Ralph

Check your Poundlands! Saw a few copies of the 2011 Brilliant Book the other day in a branch. Worth it for the Brian Aldis story alone.

If I'm in the Falkirk one in the next two days I shall have a look there. No promises as I am not sure I want to brave the shopping bits of town at the moment.....

No joy in the Swindon branch. I need a copy to go with my printed copy of the 1965 edition ;-)

Andy has found back issues of IN VISION on the Galaxy 4 shop: www.galaxy4.co.uk/category.thtml?id=17&product_page=2&vts=gv5QAwIFantastic publication back in the day and still the best ongoing fan publication of anything I've read. I have especially fond memories of the issue which printed in full (for the first time) the original storyline for TAOATL part 14. Madness. Ironically, the last issue came out as news of the show coming back came out. There was a wry comment in the editorial about it as their mission to document all TV WHO had just come to an end! Do grab a few issues. They rarely turn up on ebay and are genuinely low print run. FPG only ever had 2 copies an issue and at least 4 of us chased each issue... -Ralph

I bought the novelisation of The Romans since I'm on a bit of a Donald Cotton kick. What a brilliant book! I really recommend it, and the epistolary style actually works really well.
Also it was like, £2 posted from ebay. Bargain! Now to read the Gunfighters!!

I saw the Target reprints in Blackwells. Quite a large number of them, to my surprise! And 3 for 2! I shall grab them the other side of payday. They look very well done: clearly some love has been lavished on them. Shiny logos, nice paper/card stock, the proper typefaces and each has an intro and a feature about the book. -Ralph They've even got the "Changing face of Doctor Who" bit on the inside title page!

It's a shame the selection is a bit uninspired. It feels more like they picked 11 random books (or books from authors currently still working for BBC Books) rather than definitive classics.

They are a bit random but there are some good books in there and I must admit when I saw the trade dress I resigned myself to getting all of them!

But no, it's a Stephen Cole book.

I have a lot of time for him. -Ralph Oh Steve Cole was a fantastic editor, I just find his books a little too needlessly 'grim and gritty' for my liking. Justin Richards meanwhile was a fantastic writer, but his time as editor on the range saw me drift away.
