re: STAR CRASH
It was on before Discovery on Pluto TV. Hadn't seen it in an age. I loved how Christopher Plummer is clearly ripped to the tits on booze. He can barely focus!

Tomorrow I plan to have a lazy afternoon watching The Hound of the Baskervilles with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, on Film4 at 1.05pm Cushing is a fine Holmes, possibly the second best after Brett, but I'm not a fan of how Hammer mangled the plot. Martin But it's amazing. -Ralph

Knives Out tonight at 9 on Channel 4.
Daniel Craig and Chris Evans have a lot of fun.

Finished Westworld season 1 - excellent. Postponing binge-watching seasons 2 and 3 of that while I binge-watch Supergirl season 6, which is out on disc this week.

Watching Drive To Survive on Netflix. The 'fake' bits bother me but it's still a fun watch every year.

After three days in London I've had the Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday of my week off with my feet up, bingeing on TV. Finished Westworld season 2, watched all of Hawkeye and Stargirl season 2, and now started on Westworld season 3.

We tried IS IT CAKE? but couldn't get through a whole episode. Great idea for fun trashy TV, but buggered by a terrible presenter and a misunderstanding of how to format this kind of thing. Not helped by streaming bloat.

Second of the new Time Teams is going up over this weekend. They've done so well with this to capture the spirit of the original, and for a Youtube freebie it's indistinguishable from proper TV. I've been blown away by how good it is. It's also great to see the developments in archaeology technology in the last ten years impacting what they can achieve.
This is the first part of this weekend's new release:

Just finished another baffling Netflix anime. Thermae Romae Novae.
An ancient Roman Bath builder keeps acidentally travelling to modern day Japan. He falls into a body of water and appears in a Japanese bath house where he discovers the amazing modern technologies of "the Flat Faces" taking inspiration back to ancient Rome where he builds amazing new Bath Houses as required by some client at the start of the episode.
Its weird, but kind of relaxing.

This Bank Holiday Monday I have some long repetitive things to do on the computer for my Dad.
I will begin doing them this afternoon with Star Trek V on in the background.
Tomorrow at 11am the 1957 classic '12 Angry Men' will help me get through another couple of hours of the task.
Last night on the call I brought up the Valerian franchise of French graphic novels which I am currently enjoying. The underrated 2017 movie starring Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne is on tomorrow at 6.20pm.
All the above on Film4 - Council TV.

Last night on the call I brought up the Valerian franchise of French graphic novels which I am currently enjoying. The underrated 2017 movie starring Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne is on tomorrow at 6.20pm. One Film4 movie watched, and a third of my computer work is done. The second film begins now, and the work resumes. Then the highly recommended Valerian at 6.20pm. I need to finish my tasks by the time Valerian ends, because I am _not_ watching the subsequent film at 9pm. 'Men in Black: International' is _not_, repeat _not_ recommended. There's no law against hitting a film, is there? No? Good. *walks up onto the stage and slaps 'Men in Black: International' for existing* Martin

I despise daytime TV commercials.
The commercials they have on in the evening are fine, the ones before the trailers at the cinema are fine, but daytime TV ad breaks strike me as... exploitative. They make me shudder. Ugh.
