Punch/Counterpunch SG Cyclonus Orders

I've put in an order just for the PCP's I doubt Cyclonus will sell out anytime soon and I'll order them in a day or two once anyone who still wants a PCP has chimed in, just in case I need to grab some more.

Once I get the credit card bill I'll let people know what is owed. Just ordering the PCP will make that easier too.

Once they arrive I'll let everyone know if there are any extra costs.

Even though they took my payment (twice*) two weeks ago, I cannot log in to the fan club and thus cannot buy anything at the store at anything less than ludicrous prices. I have fired off a calm yet strongly worded email asking them to sort it the f*** out before the Punches sell out.

*I foolishly thought that when someone renews their fan club membership there'd be some kind of automated response to acknowledge receipt of payment or something, and since I got no response for two days I tried again and after no further response emailed them to ask what the hell was going on. Turns out they had just taken two payments for the same username without hesitation. A username which, I might add, the club website doesn't recognise. I know it's a small operation but there are guys on eBay working out of their garages that have better customer relations than this!

Yeah everyone who asked for one is covered with maybea spare or two.

My credit card will be due for beginning of May, so there should be plenty of time to send monies. I'll let people know as soon as I'm charged.

Nick if you want me to put the order in for you LMK. I have a silly limit which I don't mind using as long as I can pay it on time.

Apparently half the PCP have sold and surprisingly (to me at least) 40% of the Cyclonus'.

As of last night about 60% were sold in the first 24 hours, but it seems they only made about 1600-1700 which seems like a very small amount. I guess all those Astrotrains and Airrazors and probably the Nightbeats got them scared of large orders. Shame as these are the first two good repaints of good moulds the club have done andI expected 2000-3000.

If anyone else wants either and hasn't asked I'm probably going to add an order late Sunday.

Upon closer inspection, it says the figures are due to ship up to 4 weeks after the release date, which is exactly one month before AA. If I do manage to order some it's possible (indeed likely if HM R&C get their hands on them) they won't be here before AA. Alas, there's not a lot of point in me ordering them for Toy-fu. I may get some Dions at Botcon because the wacky colour scheme amuses me and Hot Shot didn't really make an appearance over here, but that'll do.

Just a quick thing Bogatan, are you going to Auto Assembly this year? Because (judging by the shipping dates) maybe it'll be easier and cheaper for you to just bring the ordered toys with you there and give them to us (if we're going obviously) instead of reposting them

Yeah I think everyone that gave me a definite yes, but I expected to have a few spares in case anyone wanted one later, but they have already gone so I was going to add a couple to the Cyclonus order and just now.

But I was an hour or two too late.

I can't believe that they only made 1800 of these. Its like the supermarkets who refuse to stock a new exclusive becasue the last one didn't sell. Of course the last one didn't sell it was overpriced and crap, but the new one is clearly superior in every way. But they have to look at the money.

They managed to sell about 1000 of the Nightbeats despite being Energon Hotshot in disguse with an earless head, but because they didn't sell all of them PCP is kept to low numbers, feeling bad for everyone who didn't get one.

Then again probably a large chunk were bought to be resold.

Yeah. I mean, I LOVE Nightbeat, but uuuuugh what a horrible mold Energon Hotshot is. I can't believe I paid actual money for mine.

I know. I do like the new head, but the rest. It's just depressingly bad even by Energon standards. The car mode does look nice I suppose and I did find the comic to be reasonably enjoyable.

I'm just annoyed because I was dithering between 10 and 15 PCP I ended up with 11 I think because I didn't want to be stuck paying for 5 or six figures that no one else wanted.

Not surprising P/CP sold out. It's easily the toy with the most buzz that the collectors club have put out.

I'll order the Cyclonus' tonight or tomorrow. At least not being able to add any PCP will keep breaking down the price nice and easy.

Oddly the postage cost has gone up so even if I to the same number the shipping would be a dollar or two more than for PCP. I'm hoping its just the link to the USPS playing up.

And the latest news is FP are seeing if they can increase the order. They did it for Botcon 2008 so if anyone does still want one stay tuned.

Also gotta love the utter ignorance of the first comment on that link.
They must be ordering very small Quantities. I think one person stated 1800. They need to order more then that. This club seems to be getting worst each year.

The only toys FP have made in larger numbers were the free club membership figure at around 3000, but they are part of membership so that number was due to the size of the club. After that Airrazor, Astrotrain and Razorclaw and Elita one all at 2000. Not one of which has sold out
Airrazor and Asrotrain have now been in stock for 3 years or so.

The seacons sold out but only had 1500 made and took much longer to sell. Nightbeat only got 1200 and they still have a few hundred of them. The largest Botcon run was 2008 and that was only 1750 though they could have made more of those.

1800 was really a gamble for them, so some of the criticism like this seem really idiotic.

Indeed. Fort operations like this, it's risky to prodoce more than they think they can sell! The production run numbers made sense. It's not like we're talking about Matty Collector here!

Yeah they do which is a bit annoying but in this case I'm glad it can be paid off and forgtten about, rather than a huge charge being taken unexpectedly in a few months time.

I ordered Cyclonus last night. I probably have a spare or two I wasn't sure who wanted them exactly and my brain was frazzled.

Well, given there won't be any more Cyclonii made, I'm sure it's a safe bet if you have too many you'll be able to get rid of them!
