IIRC the Movie 2-6 uniform Kirk was under articulated in the original line and they never did Spock in that uniform

I have to say I guess I was hoping for something a bit more akin to Star Wars Black, with an accent on scale. Jonathan Frakes is a very tall man, and it'd be nice to have him larger than the inevitable generic Ferengi who are typically not very large.
Even though Playmates isn't particularly known for high end figures like that.

But like, you know, a lot of lines have found a medium for having both kid oriented action figures, and premium adult oriented action figures, too. Both Mattel and Hasbro run this balance pretty well.
