Henkai Astrotrain is a must. He looks totally different to the Classics one, and so much nicer
Henkai Ratchet has a better paintjob IMO, which is more G1y
Henkai Smokescreen looks far far better than Universe Smokescreen
I have Henkai Hound, but only because he was cheap. No idea what the differences are.
Hot Shot - the Henkai one has missile launchers which the US one doesnt, BUT the numberplate saids HOT ROD not JAAM so it is up to you on that one.
The rest seem to have minor differences

I have Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Prowl and Cyclonus from Henkei, not a single one from Universe. I just prefer the Jap cards

I will one day own Ratchet, but the Henkei version does not say 'HELPUS' on the licence plate like the Universe one!

It does? Damn, thats cool
*stares at Henkai one* But at least the Henkai has nice chrome. Still has the horrid head problems, but at £15 from Auto Assembly, I wasn't likely to get a better price on this or the universe one anytime soon
Ramjet is supposed to be pretty different too, I think. I dont own either of the two though

Yeah, the Henkei Ratchet looks better, but we get so few comic homages and loads of cartoon ones. I'm a sucker for comic homages. I can understand why the Henkei one is different: after all why reference a comic oublished overseas?
And yes I know the mould is shit, but it's Ratchet. One day it shall be mine! No rush though.

Henkai Galvatron is hilariously bad though. He has a chrome turret!
Some of Henkai is amazing, some is awful and tacky. It is nice we can pick and choose though. Were there any differences on Cheetor?

I like the western Ratchet's numberplate. Very cool.
Ramjet looks pretty good. The first conehead I've liked.
Is Henkei continuing?

I've not yet got any Henkei, simply because I've had all the UK releases as they've come along and haven't felt any particular need to get the Japanese releases as well. But, I was looking at some of them at Auto Assembly and the chrome does look great. No doubt I'll get some at some point.

Henkai is done for now, but I imagine it is as done as Universe is done.
The only Henkai I have is really stuff I couldn't find here, or stuff that was the same price as the Universe versions. That or if they are significantly different
I cannot stress how good Astrotrain is.

Got Henkei Hound but having not really looked at the Universe version no idea if one is better than the other. Still one of the best moulds in years so will likely end up with both and hopefully repaints even a swindle.
Henkei Crystal Convoy is awesome all the transparency works so well on it. By looks of it Non crystal version is an improvement over the classic one too.

Convoy has a better quality paint job than the Universe version with nice little changes here and there, though it's not different enough to warrant geting one if you already have the Universe one.

I always compare.com the Henkei version of a fig against the Universe version. Usually I have to go for the Universe 'cos they're cheaper to get, but Henkeis often look better to me.
Dear God! Just realised I don't have a Henkei Prowl!

Henkei Alert
Was this figure produced in a limited run? He seems to be more expensive than the other Henkei's and less of them on eBay.

Sorry G, I was just confused why I could get Smokescreen for under £20 delivered, while Alert is looking at more like £37.

He's also the only Henkei toy not to be done in Universe. I'd go with that reason too. If you know anyone going to Hong Kong anytime soon, ask them to grab one for you there. My friend got me one for £12.50 over there a couple of months back.

That looks like it will be so nice, it is a shame it will be super expensive! Web-store exclusive, yeah it isn't going to be cheap is it. The colour schemes not too bad actually, although I'd probably prefer it without the purple FASTpack module - make it grey or black or something and it would go better with the rest of the scheme. The name does amuse as well - it suggests the kind of character who needs to be introduced in the shadow of an enormous building so he can do the usual mistaken identity thing:- "Skyfire?" "No. DAAAARK Skyfire!" Karl

$40 retail price plus various mark ups and shipping. $80-100?
Looks nice, THe purple boosters do look a little out but I suppose its the whole Evil Skyfire = Skyfire red parts turned purple. I want this and a regular Henkei with a few minor mods to make proper Decepticon Skyfire.
