I am tempted by Henkei Strafe, just becasue of how obscure / ugly he is. It is strangly beautiful.
Does anyone want to talk me into / out of it? And does anyone know where I can get one for a good price?

I keep staring at it too. It ticks too many boxes for me to ignore. * Freakishly odd colours. *Update of one of my favourite toys growing up. *Repaint of one of the great recent moulds.
The only reason I don't own one already is being unable to find for a lower enough price.

I want one badly. I love that mould and will buy any version of it. TFSOURCE have knocked the price down a bit, which is probably the cheapest you'll find it: tfsource.com/products/view/product_id/790/One drunken future night in a more solvent month...yeah. -Ralph

If the seller marks the parcel up as a gift then you won't get CUTA'd!

There are a few doing the rounds on Yahoo Japan at about Y4400. If any of them go to 4000 I'll nab one. Possibly more than one from the sound of things -Nick

Not a fan of that myself, so if I may ask, what's the attraction? Is it the mold? The colours? Or does it just make you go all weak inside?

I love the mold, and the colours look horribly odd enough to attract me.

Another I want to. £50 for a toy that retailed at £20 isn't to bad really when there is no international post to deal with. No chance at the moment, I can't even afford the blue repaint at TRU.

Hmm
I do like him I like the colours I love that mold (mostly because of the "SUPER MODE" function) I don't like the price though I would get him if he was at AA next year however, just not that much money over the internet for a smallish figure

I'd tend to agree. Considering that he is a japanese webstore exclusive I would say that you would have to be prepared to pay, by Transformers standards, quite a premium for him.
Nice toy though - the colour scheme is really quite nice (barring the purple which doesn't really feel like it belongs).

Yeah, £50 is a good price. Cheapest I saw elsewhere was from Bodhar for about $90 shipped. I think they were around £30 ordered from the Japanese website anyway, so an extra £20 for shipping from Japan and avoiding customs, isn't too bad.

Oh I wasn't saying that I wouldn't buy it because of the price, I just meant that I wouldn't spend that much on a single item online, if it was in person then I would totally do it (Like at AA as I mentioned)

I like the eyes on the Hasbro Blackout far far more, but like everything else on the Takara one.
In other news, I was really blah on the new Classics Starscream upgrade set, until I discovered it comes with a replacement LEADER-1 HEAD!

The heads good, but it's those hinge replacements that appeal to me.
I think the reviewer was some what over the top on how hard the swap is. The wings pretty much pop out with only a little effort and even if you do damage them, which I've yet to do, your going to be replacing them. Obviously he didn't try replacing the head because if he thought the wings are hard the head would have left him with his brains oozing out his ears.
Also, I should say I really liked the review, it's nice to see one being done in a serious, professional way. I like to be entertained (like Ralphs) or informed like this one. Most fail to do either.

Mrs Shockprowl may rest easy. That is not a Masterpiece Thrust - it is a deluxe sized toy for the successor line to Universe. Nice looking toy mind you - can see me being tempted to pick one up so that Ramjet can have someone to maintain a two-ship formation with. Karl Karl

Not actually seen any of the Henkei versions in the plastic. But I know far better than to try to acquire jets from another nation by nefarious means. That is a recipe for crashing in a lake in Scandanavia after forgeting to think in Russian...... Karl
