Participate in my local pubs pub quiz last night and the team I was with finished in 4th and last place - 5 and a half points behind the winner. The rules of the quiz stipulate that the losing team gets to choose the subject for the music round for the following week and so I suggested One Hit Wonders. This is going to make things a bit interesting because there are a few OHW's that are so cheesy that nobody would ever admit to listening to so, come next week we might actually see who in the pub knows the answers to these ones.

After no success last year, the Cardiff peregrines have hatched chicks this year - hurrah! And we have a better quality webcam this year too. (Only works in daylight hours, mind.) Martin

back to work, but at least I managed to 'obtain' the Transformers History of Music 1984-1990 cd set. Getting ready for work is much easier when soundtracked to Masterforce!

Where do you get that CD from? I've heard a bit about it over the years but have had no luck finding it.

Either a) pay crazy money on ebay / one of the import sites. b) hours searching for downloads.

Hello Sportsfans!!!
I spent Philmas digging up old tree/bush things in our garden (don't like digging up perfectly good plants, but 'tis was a bad use of space, darn hard work!) Then celebrated with an ice cold beer before bathing to child, who got extreamly dirty in the garden. Now going to ease back, eat a Morereasons curry, and wait for CSI to start! Triple-bill, baby!
Oh, and Spotlight: Prowl arrived from the splendid Mr.Bax. Hmmm, not happy. Read my thoughts in the Spotlight: Prowl thread. Prowl is no Hippy, damnit!

So far I have not been into work this week due to a lack of work at the place and the barren spell continues into tomorrow. Looks like I'll get no more than two days work in this week which isn't what I want because I need to book my hotel for AA this year and also pay my bills.

The count down to moving my lab to a new location is on. The Bosses come in next Monday to spend the week fucking around and moving. The countertop people are supposed to put the new countertops in this Friday, which better bloody happen after they blew it last week due to screwing around with the order. Not looking forward to seeing the Bosses in person again, although no mention has been made of the unpleasantness in early March. I'm sure they'll have a go at me in person though.

For the 4th week counting, I've lost weight! Even with the giant pizza of doom in Swindon! Yay!

The job agency got in touch with me today saying that I'm not needed into work tomorrow. This is starting to get ridiculous now as, at this rate I won't be able to afford my hotel for AA this year.

I had a somewhat surreal journey to work on Tuesday. I got down to the station about a minute too late to catch my usual train, and so headed up to Asda to pick something up during the half-hour I had to kill. I had just crossed the road when I realised that a woman who I didn't recognise was following me. As I tend to do in these situations I picked up my pace a bit, which led to the woman shouting at me and demanding that I stop. I duly did, and she stormed up to me and demanded something that I later disentangled as "areyoutherealradiorenegade". I responded that I had no ide what she was talking about, at which point she muttered something aggressive at me and stormed off.
I shrugged and just figured that I was attracting the crazy folk for some reason that morning. I did what I had to do in Asda and returned to the station. There followed a stream of people coming up to me (about one every four lines of my current book) and asking me the same thing. Cue Karl moving steadily down the platform between each person (running rapidly out of station) and asking people (with a little bit more irritation each time) what on earth they were talking about. After twenty minutes of this (at which point I was starting to wonder why I was attracting every crazy person in Falkirk) someone told me "It's worth twa thoosand punds". Which didn't really go very far as an explanation.....
When my train finally turned up I dived on with alacrity and was very glad to close the doors behind me in the hope of sanctuary. It was only because I bumped into one of my friends on the train that I discovered that the world (or myself) hadn't gone completely crackers. Apparently it in some way relates to a competition/contest/thing run by a radio station called "Real Radio".
I don't listen to the radio very much so I didn't know this. Fair to say that if I am ever tempted to have the radio on it is very unlikely that I would listen to Real Radio now.....

I ran into these 'real radio' twats while out with a client last week and just swore at them.
I've encountered these idiots several times before back in Glasgowland. I usually just launch a torrent of abuse at them.

I had this in Preston once - I told them I was indeed the real radio renegade and to claim their prize they to go in to our "restaurant partner" McDonalds and shout out "I found the real radio renegade now show me the money"........

I've never suffered such an experience as that Karl but i have heard about similar things before. It just amuses me how people can be so stupid as to want to do such a thing.

I seem to remember seeing it on the table near the kitchen door on Saturday morning but I don't know where it was put from there I am afraid. Karl

Now that's where I thought it was. I think that it, the Red Baron & Jetfire's missile launcher may now be sitting in the loft.

The Red Baron has been found in the loft as has the missile launcher. No sign of the Masterforce though - I went through both GI Joe boxes, the Henkei/Classics & Microman boxes we had out. Have I missed anything we played with - Brave was out anyway.
Did anyone take it home by accident ? I know we did have all your bags in there so it could have easily got mixed up...
I'll go over the house again later and see if I can spot it....
By contrast I've only found one thing that got left behind (Andy !)

I haven't been in work at all so far this work but not long ago I got a call up from the agency asking me to come into work tomorrow. One days work out of five - that's going to net me a lot of money isn't!

It may have been taken up into the loft by accident. I remember seeing it in the living room on the Friday.
