Right. So day 1 of the SW Calender had 3 extra pieces that are not required and Day 1 of the City one seems to have a piece missing that is shown on the illustration. Day 1 has not gone well.

That was a weird one. A bloke at work hadn't opened his today and I asked him to let me know what he thinks it is when he sees it.
So... Toys'r'us had five boxes full of bagged Vulture Droid kits. A new Sun promotion, which has seemingly snuck in under everybody's radar. TRU enforced a strict one-per-customer and my manager accused me of selfishness and greed when I questioned it, which put me in a foul mood the rest of the day.
Due to lack of promotion we still had about 100 left when I was leaving (with ASDA next door completely out of Sun newspapers) and the store manager told the woman behind the desk to give me a couple of packs to shut me up. So... yeah. Not a good day for the ol' self esteem, but I have the sets for anybody who missed out.

I won't say no, but if you only have a limited supply and there's not enough make sure ken gets it.

That explains the incident in the newsagent this morning. A woman buying The Sun was asked "do you want the Lego thing". She looked befuddled for a second before saying something along the lines of "er, ok." She then left with her newspaper and a packet that she didn't seem entirely clear of the raison d'etre for....

That would certainly explain why we had so many left over. I think there's about 60 in a box- Lego sent us 5 boxes, and we had two and a half left over when I left. The customer service desk is actually festooned with free Dora colouring packs and Plasticine and Lego sets (this one and the Cars Gremlin chap from the last promotion) that we seem to have a neverending supply of. I suspect TRU and WHS have a financial stake in these promos and are paying for part of them to get folk in the door.

My little un recently acquired a Dora desk, but I am not sure if she's old enough for a colouring pack.

I said they were piled up- I didn't say we were allowed to give them to anybody We gave all the kids goodie bags when there was a school trip out to us for primary 1's to make up their Christmas lists (when did schools start doing that?) but other than that they're all in promo-limbo. The vendor hasn't asked for them back and we haven't been told about any other events for giving them away. -Nick

Advent Day 6: Chewbacca. Should he have a bowcaster? The box shows him with one. In other news I found THIS half price in WHS today. A Star Wars Lego "Marvel Universe" with free Han Yavin minifigure? Sold! Somewhat apropriate given the advent calender.

I mentioned that over a month ago! Piles of them shelfwarming in ASDA for a fiver.
RE: Advent Day 6. After 5 dish of pish finally something decent though if no bowcaster is found behind another window I will not be happy. Thus far, the LEGO City one is far superior.

A certain older, nay elderly, gentleman of our aquainatnce claims there's a weapons pack to come. It is a mighty tome. You need one. ASDA are stocking a LEGO Star Wars Encyclopedia. It is great fun and also comes with an exclusive Han Solo minifig from the medal scene at the end of the first film. Well worth a fiver. -Ralph How did I miss this???

A look at the box will reveal further wonders and, in 2 cases, which day they're coming on.
The Minifigure line up on the bottom is incomplete as we found out yesterday...
