Sounds more exciting than the post office furniture the Playmobil calendar is giving. I want a Santa Yoda

Are you aware of the origins of Santa Yoda?

Bah! Really crappy Episode 1 robot minifig thing today. Meanwhile, the City one has another part of the Police station!

I don't have any of the combat droids, and I've played Lego Star Wars to death (so I've mown them down and periodically played as them) so I was quite chuffed with it. You can't please everyone every day, I guess.

Black Astromech today!
While the SW Advent Calender is bringing joy, I'm getting a great deal more pleasure out of the City one. The SW one is a random thing every day but the City one has a lovely cohesive 'cops v robbers' theme and along with that some days have part of a building to make up as the month progresses! Also the box design has a outdoor snow illustrated picture on the bottom flap so that the pieces can be placed on it in various ways to form a scene. So there is the sense of a picture/story being built up over the month which is just lovely and lots of opportunities for play patterns. Great idea to incorporate the box into it as well.
The SW is fun, yes, but nowhere near as much fun as the City one. Which surprises me: I thought it would be the other way round! But I'm glad I got the SW one at a discount: it isn't really worth a fiver more as it does less with the Advent Calender as an overall toy concept.

A bit cheeky but..... does anyone have a C3PO and/or Darth Vade which are surplus to requirements?

Not sure if I have a spare C3PO, but I have at least 4 Darth Vaders by now. Five if/when I get the Death Star set.
For a bit of balance, I was overjoyed by the Mouse Droid on the 14th and could not shift the smile from my face as I popped it together. I've always been fond of the little chaps and always look out for them in any SW game, and I'm delighted to have a nifty wee Lego one now. I think he only comes with the Death Star set.
There's a black R2 unit that comes with the Star Destroyer. Looking at Wookiepedia I see there was also a Mouse Droid. Not in the one I was sent, dammit!
