I could never decide if I wanted this or not. I have two other Speed sets sitting here unopened waiting for me to have the time and space.

I too have a backlog of Lego sets I never seem to have time to build.

Yeah, we have loads in our eaves. Basically the Conjunx will periodically order some sets, they'll arrive, sit in their packaging by the front door for a couple of weeks, and then I'll just pick them up and put them away until they're remembered. She's still got Rivendell to build. Gods know when she'll find time to do that. This is why I strongly resist the purchase of any new Lego sets. Except for that Millenium Falcon interior Christmas set. Because you know.

I must have that but haven't seen it in a shop, so I had assumed it was a Lego store exclusive.

Quite possibly is. Jo picked it up from the Lego store here in Glasgow, which may or may not support your theory... (I don't actually know.)

YES.
About damn time.
Like how it is across multiple ranges.
Haven't bought much Lego for years now as I rarely get time to build. Can see myself picking up a lot of this.

Seen both the Intergalatic Spaceship and the Asteroid Discovery set in The Entertainer yesterday. Both very fun looking sets for less than twenty-quid each. I was tempted I admit, but I was good. Instead I purchased the first blind-pack minifigure I've bought in ages because I found that the other-other Asda has them (it is down near the Campus, so I am not in there that much, but I was going past it for my walk to the Abbey for a coffee). Minifigure was opened last night, and turned out to contain a dog, two pairs of scissors and a woman in a green and black outfit with black outfit with a Dog Paw logo on it. I believe that she is meant to be a dog barber, but once I can find a LEGO helmet in the same colour I have decided that she will be a dog barber in daily life, who is also part of Plastic Sentai Legoranger as Inu Green. (Her ability to dual wield scissors when doing her day job reflecting the dual swords she wields in her guise as a Super Sentai...). Now, might need to have a look for five or so other colour-coordinated Minifigs and fill out the team.... Karl

Nah, it's fine. If I am doing a team sized on the Mean I only need 5.3 members (some of the early shows only have five core members and no Extra Hero) and the weighted average is 6 (five core + 1 Extra Hero introduced later). The only reason to have more than that would be to do a strict Arithmetic average - and that only if you included Ryusolger in the maths, which given it has an eventual total of 12 heroes is obviously an outlier that skews the results... Five colour-co-ordinated Minifigures and one in a gaudy colour combination isn't that much really. Karl

I was pointing out my plan to acquire members for a LEGO Super Sentai team does not require many Minifigures to be obtained, as Japanese super hero teams are traditionally not that large.
Upshot is - my little goal only requires six minifigures - five mostly coloured one of five primary colours, and one in an unlikely complementary colour like Purple, Silver or Gold. So it is only a small goal and does not signal a return to buying larger numbers of Lego Mini-figures.

I have acquirred myself the new "Interplanetary Spacecraft". As I told a member of the family, I don't really want to try flying that across interplanetary distances - there appears to be no toilet, and no coffee machine!
It has gone into the Production Queue to be constructed at a later date. I am thinking about hitting bricklink or the spare-parts service in pursuit of some more white parts, and additional seats. I have a large passenger shuttlecraft that needs its seating fitted out and some additional crew-stations installing. As well as a smaller utility shuttle that gave up its passenger seats previously that I really should re-fit. Then I can start filling them up with Minifigure passengers after all.
I've also seen the little work exosuit set they have done, and I am thinking that some of the parts of that, along with the parts of the little "easybuild" space pod, might form the core of a nice little light mech of some sort... Might make a nice addition to the assorted custom designs I've got on the shelf in the passageway here. I'm thinking 15-20 tons in Battletech terms - small, but with a high-rating engine and minimal armament, fast recon and scouting to go along with the heavily-armed strikers of the "Olivia's Leopards" lance.
