They are now also in Toys'r'us. 1.99 each. Kept at the tills next to the trading cards.

While I have outlaws and beings from the future to protect me I will indeed insult the magician.

They are a wonderful idea. The ideal thing for the "Pocket Money Toy" price point.
There are one or two more that I would rather like, given my residual soft-spot for Lego.

I finished my lego Assault Gunboat the other day. A frogman's not really the best option to pilot it mind you.

I still prefer the old fashioned look of the Lego men where every head was identical and it was the hair style you gave it and the body colours that gave each one their unique appearance.

Well there's still plenty of them out there too. Nothing wrong with branching out- if there's demand, it makes sense for Lego to supply it -Nick

This is a great idea for Lego.
Are these blind packs in bags by any chance?
The Lego advent calendar George and I had last Christmas was full of mystery figures and mini-vehicles.

I think they're brilliant.

Grabbed some in Toys R Us today. Got the diver, cowboy, ninja, indian, skater and spaceman. Very addictive little fellas! I want the zombie and the crash test dummy!

In other news, Nick has developed an arcane way of identifying which figures are in which packs!

It would appear that these are also available in the Toymaster-affiliated shop in Falkirk. Which surprises me, as most of their Lego stock seems to be a bit behind the curve otherwise.

In other news, Nick has developed an arcane way of identifying which figures are in which packs! It's all in the barcodes. On the back of the packet, top left is a barcode which is unique to each figure. I have a pdf which claims to say which one is which, but haven't had a chance to test it yet. If anyone wants it, PM me your e-mail addy. Also has a listing for the 2nd series, which has the following figures: Spartan Baywatch Pamela Anderson Witch Lady Pop Singer Weight Lifter Big Top Presenter Man Safari Joe Judo Fella Surfer Pharaoh Vampire Bike Cop Mime Skier Disco Afro Man Mexican The names are in German, so I made up my own based on looks. I like the Mexican the most.

Might it be worth my purchasing a box of wave 2 or the Star Wars ones? Is there enough demand on t'Hub to pick them all up? A box contains 48 figures, I think, so (probably) 3 full sets.
