I found out about the barcodes thing from an ebay seller. I have not put it to test yet.
I so far have The Wrestler, Ninja, Nurse, Archer, Zombie and the Nurse.
Cant wait for Series 2. I want the Spartan and the Mexican!

I can confirm the barcode thing works, but yesterday I found that The Entertainer in Cabot Circus already had thier own official looking barcode guide behind the counter. They also had a case with the packets marked with what was in them.
This helped me army build a few more zombies and I also got the skater and crash dummy.

Doesn't allowing people to pick their characters (by supplying shops with the barcodes) defeat the point of the blindpacking? ie creating a swapsies market in the playground.
They're no monster in my pocket, that's for sure.

They're no monster in my pocket, that's for sure. Yeah, but how many kids are going to know to check barcodes. Anyway, you could easily collect the full set of Monster in my Pocket figures by getting 6 boxes of 12 (each one showed a different 'rare' monster in the window Oh, the things I remember!

Oh man... Monster In My Pocket. I miss that old chestnut. The earlier waves anyway.
I forgot to say that The Entertainer had thier marked character case behind the counter too and only revealed it to me when the guy behind the counter caught onto me looking through the blindpacks. I was asked which characters I wanted and told the guy I wanted some zombies and ninjas.
The army is building.
I guess the barcode thing works in favour of completists who want the full set. You'd want that last figure and you don't want to spend countless £2 chances.

That's stupid.
My local Entertainer has sold out of these. I've been told there that series 3 is already in the works and due out in September.

I now have: cowboy, spaceman, robot, clown, magician, wild west indian, nurse. Alas Robin Hood continues to elude me. In related Lego news, I must get one of these soon. Saw them last night in Sainsburys: shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7595&cn=6224 green army men plus jeep! -Ralph

I haven't spotted the Lego figures around here yet. One of my nieces was staying over last night and we were playing with Lego. I'm rather pleased with the castle I built. Built over five base plates, it's two stories tall with the entrance on the first floor via two drawbridges and a gate house (of sorts), it's got a rear gate that leads over a bridge to a dungeon and a four storey tower. It's even got internal walls separating the ground floor into sections and a small archery practice range outside. I wasn't impressed with my niece's insistence on the castle being owned by Robin Hood and populated by the merry men, knights and the Governor's soldiers (from Pirate Lego), who were all fighting against the pirates. My Lego worlds were always separate. Knights with rifles and Robin Hood with a cutlass!!

The distribution on Lego minifigures is crap. I've only ever seen them in one local toy shop and one WH Smiths (in Dunfermline!). Even TRU doesn't have them.
A shame. They should rule the world.

That would look spectacular, if a bit geographically confusing, next to this set.You could just blame the Mole Man. -Nick

If you had both of those sets you would really require a Lego Bond Villian or something to pose triumphantly in front of his prizes I think.
Karl (That Taj Mahal is a fantastic set also).

Bah, had a fondle of a blind bag (£2.05) from series 1 at the Tesco petrol station near me. What I thought was the Ninja's cowls was actually the cheerleader's hair.
Does anybody need a cheerleader?
Elliott.
