Prog 2015 and the new Meg today
LOVED Low Life & Jaegir. Both great. Dark Justice was very much setting up the pieces.
Good Young Dredd tale in Megazine and nice finish to the ongoing tale

First January issue of 2000AD arrived today. 'That was a depressingly short Christmas,' I thought...

I didn't get any of the 2000ad figures back in the day, I do regret that now.
Figure looks decent enough, although I'd prefer a Johnny Alpha figure.

Subscribed. I had to really. Those cover designs are beautiful plus a lot of nice HB Carlos action. Andy I can myself picking up a few volumes of it having had a shot of the pilot issue. Very nice trade dress. -Ralph

I think I crumbled when someone said uniform spines. But I will pick up the first one and see.
I loved the reaction figures. I have them all in a box somewhere. Alpha was the best one but the Slaine was also very good. I even created a model of that one in 3D Studio and animated it.

Got Judge Dredd: Mandroid out the library. Really excellent stuff. That proper mix of sad/mad violence and interesting character work that marks out the better Dredd stories even though he is peripheral in this one. I did feel sorry for the Mandroid chap. Nothing goes right for him!

I remember reading bits of that when it came out, some very good work there. Kev Walker did some of the art iirc.

Yes. He drew the first of the two stories included. Wisely the story of the Mandroid character is brought to an end in story 2.

Whenever I dip into Tooth it always seems to be running that terrible Kingdom story and I drop it again. However I am reading again for the Greg Staples art on Dark Justice. Thankfully no Kingdom strip currently running.
Confused by the Hammersteins in Savage. Is that an ABC Warriors prequel now?

They've been linked for ages. I'd need to read the earliest ones to be sure when but doesn't Savage represent the Volgan war frequently referred to in ABC Warriors en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion!_%282000_AD%29

Savage was always linked to ABC Warriors, it's just since Mills brought him back he has been more explicit about it, hence the inclusion of the Mark II and Mark III wardroids in more recent books of Savage. Inspected. Very solid, very nicely presented book is that. Impressive. I'm torn. On the one hand it would be a very nice collection to own, but on the other I have to ask myself why. I have the content already, and it even looks like the bonus content is going to mostly come from reprints of Megazine interrogations. So am I really going to pay £20 a month and put up a new bookshelf for stuff I have, purely because it's beautifully presented and has a uniform spine image?

The Dark Judges tale is about to pick up the pace big style I think judging from this week's Prog. Damn if Greg Staples hasn't outdone himself.
