Was it just me that felt the conclusion to the Dredd story in the latest prog was a bit of a cop out? And that a magic button to turn of all the robots is maybe something you keep on you rather than locked away in a hard to access in an emergency safe?

Hoping they do something interesting with the robot Judges going forward. They've slow burner built them up well over the last number of years. This story was almost inevitable and needing to be gotten out of the way. Almost.

Nice to have the actual cover for Judge Dredd Case Files 45 at last - text was wrong on all the preview images. OK, yes, the purple should be at the top and the bottom black but that's been wrong for all the books in the 40s so I imagine we're stuck with it now! Also nice to finally get to read What I Did For Chrissmas, the last PJ Maybe story (to date) that hasn't been previously collected in any form!

Ugh. Unfortunately. I seem to be one of the few not gripped by it. Read the first series and wasn't impressed. Tried the next but now it is a skip from me every time. Life is too short.

Still enjoying the parallels between 2000AD today and 40 years ago. Both have just had jumping on progs. 40 years ago there were new stories for Dredd, Rogue and Ace Trucking, then the return of Nemesis for book four and the first part of Hell trekkers.

I was going to say I first encountered it in 2000AD Extreme, but having checked I see the repeat run was in the Meg about twenty years ago. It's a shame Ortiz only did the first part, he's absolutely the right artist to do that series.
I also like the way the prog printed a two part poster listing all the wagons and their occupants so you could cross names off as they died.

I saved so much space from giving away my issues it was amazing. I'll stick to 2000ad/Megazine issues as ephemeral items to read and pass on. Will bolster my trade collection instead.
I don't have any interest in digital editions.
