To me it has more of a Slag or Snarl feel to it. Probably the squat vehicle mode as the robot mode would pass for any of them except Swoop.

If there were more toys like Onslaught I think I Pre dino set would be very nice. Swoop probably isnt to hard but Id be hard pressed still to come up with a full set.

Well, I have in mind for vehicle Dinos (or should that be Dynos?), if I were to attempt a kitbash mission of such magnitude:
Slag - Cybertron Defence Scattershot
Sludge - Cybertron Defence Red Alert
Swoop - Energon Slugslinger
Snarl - Dunno
Grimlock - Thought Armada Grimlock, but I like Armada Grimlock so not sure I wana use him up like that.

Two out of three isn't bad I guess. The humanoid mode looks good, and it's nice to see that he has brought a big rake with him. Maybe he cultivates a Zen garden in his free time. The truck mode looks quite decent actually, in a sort of "futuristic jet-pack holidays on the moon" kind of way. The 'plane mode is..... on a positive not the front end is rather nice, apparently channelling the C-130 more than a little. But then the rear half has to go and ruin the look with those shrunken, badly disproportionate, stabs.
Two out of three is a decent batting average though.

I like Acid Storm because it has set off some enjoyably colourful fireworks on some of the other boards. I won't be buying it though, partly because I've had a shot of Classics Starscream and am unmoved by it and partly because the mould was showing signs of degradation throughout the Botcon set and I can't help but wonder what sort of state it's in now. The only colours I'd buy the Classic jet mould in are G2 Ramjet and Action Master Thundercracker.
Some of the other repaints are worthy figures, but I won't be buying them as I don't have the space.

Yes. Scattorshot seserved a repaint though a proper camo tank colouring may have been better. The yellow didn't work on the Cybertron combaticon tank and doesn't here.

Seibertron has some pics up of Classics Universe Prowl and Sunstreaker. Sorry can't link it. Usually excellant pics from Seibertron (please note correct spelling of excellant!). And Holy cow-bags Prowl looks so utterly fantatically awesome words fail me. I'm drooling. It's not a pretty site! Sunstreaker looks really nice also. Gods, I can't wait for these figs! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Shockprowl, you should probably take a gander at the second-to-bottom entry under "exclusives". Of course, all that news is insignificant next to THIS.EDIT: Hot biscuits! Hasbro have put up images of some of the figures they were showing off today at the panel. Not all of the links work all the time, but most of them seem to be okay: AnimatedSentinel Prime is a deluxe, apparently. Ultra Magnus is glorious. UniverseOptimus Prime is being reissued, surprising no-one. 'Silverstreak' is clearly Prowl without the light bar, and with the wrong robot mode shown. Sideswipe also has the wrong head in his shot- they put Sunstreaker's on it by mistake. I get the impression these pics were thrown up in an awful hurry. Still, I appreciate the effort. -Nick |

Universe- bit numb to put the wrong head on Sideswipe, but he looks great. Silverbolt looks very nice. Very intruiged 'bout Cyclonus. And how great does Ironhide look?! Fantastic! Surely, SURELY, they'll do a repaint into Ratchet? They must know fans'll eat him alive! But where's Jazz?! They said he was on their 'would like to do' list? Surely they're not gunna limit Jazz to the legends size?
Comic packs. Roadbuster and Dirge look very nice indeed. Gotta have that Ratbat. Not as sure 'bout Springer. He's not a triple changer! Give him a proper Triple changer mold!
But generally some great stuff to get feverishly excited about!

Just had a good look through the pics of Classics Sunstreaker, and it's really interesting to see the alt transformation into what will be Sideswipe. The designers have really done a brilliant job there. Two different robot modes, authentic to the G1 character, outa one mold! Well done! Lovin' this.

Just been takin' a closer look at some of the Universe Classics.
Acid Storm? What the freakin' mother freaker is that about? A horribull green Seeker. RELEASE THUNDERCRACKER!
They turned Cyb Evac into Springer AND Blades. As Blades he looks ok.
Why have they done Galvatron Delux?! What a mistake! He should have been Ultra! And before you all go 'oh it's just size obsessed shockprowl going off on one again', you gotta agree Galvatron is Ultra, voyager at least! (come on Phil you must agree!)
That blaster is just wrong is so many ways. Terrible, lazy repaint. Poor poor poor.
TRU exclusive- that's Toys R Us right? How available will that make 'em?
On a possative note- boy do some of these Classics look good. Can't get over Ironhide. Silver(should be Blue)streak looks totally different to Prowl IMHO. And Onslaught is sooooo gunna become Grimlock! Think the only one I dislike outa the new molds in Powerglide.
