Sorry to hear your job news, Ken.
Sounds like most people either had insomnia last night or else weird dreams. I slept through it, though I'd have liked to stay awake and watch the Chilean miners come up, but I was too sleepy.
Lawyers at work driving me nuts. We don't have enough of them (finances being tight, as you might have heard), which means they take months to give written opinions on anything, and need constant chasing. Can't blame them for that, when the powers that be keep re-prioritising what they should be working on - but it's darned annoying to be given a prediction every time you ring them that they'll deliver what you want in two days time... and then for it to fail to materialise. It's like the stereotype of builders really. Except that when you push the lawyers hard enough they work through Sunday for you and make you feel guilty about it.
And then you remember what they get paid.
Ho hum. They're nice enough people, but really need to take lessons from Scotty on expectation management.

I saw a women reveal that she was wearing pink knickers whilst she was riding her bike through Cambridge. This only re-enforces my opinion that for their own modesty, women shouldn't wear skirts or dresses while cycling.

Well done on the losing weight there Matt, congrats!
I think I was one of the few who was spared a poor night last night. In fact it was the first night I actually slept properly since Saturday. The preceeding nights have been filled with some very disturbing dreams of being hunted by unknown but definitely hostile individuals for reasons that I wasn't quite sure of. No Rover though, so watching The Prisoner definitely isn't to blame.
Ken, sorry to hear that you didn't get the job.

Productive day today, 3 reviews written and a chunk of a fourth done.
Tmw will be spent stipping the remaining articles off the shelves in the yellow room ahead of their removal on Friday. Then we've got to get all the crates out so the carpet can be laid Monday.

I find myself feeling very tense and irritable. M treated me to a pizza and a few episodes of Star Trek: TNG in the evening, which helped. That show is now horrenously dated but I still enjoy watching it from time to time.

And Hasbro cheekily pinched the Starbird design later on! -Ralph They did indeed. I remember getting a good laugh out of that when I first saw it. (Having had the Starbird Avenger when I was younger just made it that bit more amusing) Karl

Well this is fun. Reported a repair request a few months ago to letting agency. Then yesterday they phoned demanding to come round tomorrow RIGHT AWAY MUST BE DONE NOW NOW NOW YOU HAVE TO BE IN WE MUST COME NOW NOW OWNER WANTS IT SORTED NOW DAMN YOU ACCESS YOU GIVE US ACCESS NOW NO CHOICE DO IT DO IT INFINITE MONKEYS. Oh look, they're 46 minutes late and counting. Rather annoyed as it's a mild day and I like to take the walking opportunities when they arise before we get into the proper coldness weather.

I don't miss being a renter. Had a very odd day or two as I've been stuck indoors while the kitchen roof was done I've found myself following the court battle over Liverpools sale more closely than I might have. Its just mental, it does feel as though the whole thing has been scripted like the anti "You couldn't make this up"

This evening finds me somewhat stressed. I prepare for interviews by printing stuff off and writing/highlighting them as I find it somewhat harder to retain information just read off of a screen (that's why I bought a printer in the first place). I had wanted Friday to be a 9-5 prep day. Unfortunately the printer does not recognise the cheaper ASDA cartridges and I don't have an unexpected £36 to pull out my ass for the official Epson cartridges that may or may not work (I find it difficult to decipher printer cartridges at the best of times). So I'll just have to read things off the screen and hope for the best.
Adding to my consternation is that having looked more carefully at the job specs I'm really not sure I'd be suited for the role anyway (unlike every other job I've chased). And there is another factor confusing the issue I can't talk about yet on a public forum.
It's never easy with me, it really isn't. I am so stressed this week I can barely think straight.

Does it need all the epson cartridges or can you get away with just the black one?

All Epson printers usually take cheap third party cartridges so I'm not too sure what the problem could be if the printer isn't recognising it. I used to have an Epson printer (or rather two) and had no problems with them. Usually, when a third party cartridge is installed in an Epson printer a message comes up on screen saying that the installed cartridges are not officially recognised Epson ones but it does give you the option to still install them anyway and they still work just fine.

Well it doesn't. I shall ask Mr Turnbull to have a look at it when he is next round. In the meantime, Kaptain Karl has kindly agreed to let me abuse his printer tomorrow.

Brothers,
this is the third week in a row I've left work in a foul mood. No idea why. Fucking angry for some reason. Tired, crabby, grouchy, all of that.
Almost impulse bought a HFTD Breacher from Asda for £4, but was strong. Would he have been a worth purchase by the way?

I also left work in a foul mood today, due to a slow and unhelpful lawyer, whose delays leave me with little useful work to do while I wait for him to get his act together.
However, a colleague has left me custodian of a bat-detector, so I'm going to head over to the nature reserve at dusk and try to pick up some bat signals, which will hopefully give me a better perspective on the important things in life.
Happy thoughts to all those who have requested channeling.

He does look very poseable... and the headsculpt is cool.
Yup. £4, when I was shopping for Lemsip and Berocca, looking like a hobo coughing my lungs up, earlier in the week.
My impulse buying barriers are weak these days.

I have yet to see this mysterious Breacher.
After a few weeks of no TF's in the local ASDA they have returned...same old ROTF Scouts they couldn't sell at half-price back up to full price. Sigh.
