I'll run that one by Mrs A when she gets home from work tmw. Remind me! Was Mrs A ok for the weekend of the 16th then? I should have asked before I booked A/L! She was ok, yes! I see that Martin also listens to the Now Show.

Leave now formally approved. As I have the week afterwards off too, I would like to go on adventures after Swincon. Are there interesting places to visit in that part of the country?

Swindon is one hour on the train from London in one direction, and half an hour from Bristol / one hour from Cardiff in the other. Martin

How are arrangements with our contingent North of the borders preceeding? And who else is interested in coming?

Wait wow that is only a month and a half away!
I will totally come, what is the plan, could I daytrip it again or is it going to be a weekend fare?

The plan centers round the day of the 16th and is this we will have a lesuirely start to the day at Phil's DFiS collecting up any stragglers at Swindon station c11:30. We will procede to the pizza restraunt and stuff our faces.
After that the proposal is to move back to the town, get a bus to Aldbourne* (I'm assuming you don't need to ask why!) where we will set up camp in the Blue Boar, have some drinks, do the usual stuff we do in pubs, get our photos taken at the church before returning to the DFiS for a slap up feed and that night's DW/The Daemons
* I'm led to believe we can get a bus pass that will cover us for all the journeys in Swindon and out to Aldbourne. Research will be undertaken as will a trip to the Boar.
I'm anticipating the Scots boys will probably be joining me Friday. We had talked about The Moonbase for Friday night.
Not thought about the Sunday (if there is anything). I'll be at church Sunday AM but there's no reason why those who stay shouldn't rifle through the longboxes and Loft of Joy.
Since conforming that she absoloutely definitely wasn't working that day, Liz has now discovered she is but that's OK as we've got someone who can come in to look after Jonathan and if that falls through his grandparents are half a mile away.

And after the Space Pig Death Flu the possible redundancy thing became more pressing and I got sidetracked. I think I am starting to get my act together again though. Karl

I can't book my hotel until I know which nights to book for, which means first knowing the movements of my Scottish colleagues... Martin Discussions are currently under way in that regard. It looks like we will be flying down to Cardiff on the Friday (precise time still being finalised) and then travelling up to Swindon from there. I shall let you know more once we emerge from our deliberations. After Swincon we are separating into two task groups - myself to travel down to Surrey to stay with family for a while, and I shall let my esteemed colleagues speak for themselves as regards their plans - with a probability that we will reconvene at some point in London temporarily to descend upon the Doctor Who exhibition. Agree a day for the trip and I may join you.

Sounds like we definitely need to get that sorted out in advance. Once we have out travel arrangements in place the Scots boys will have to discuss this and make preparations accordingly (That will probably help with getting my family to be understanding about my disappearing into the Space Time vortex for a day).

Liz and I have been talking food today.
Friday Night: either Beef in Beer with Dumplings & Mash OR Home Made Lasagne & Garlic Bread (state thy preferance) Saturday Night: Chilli
She request if anyone who might be coming has a problem with any food can they let us know. She recalls Banana and Eggs being a problem for someone last year.
