Happy birthday to Jonathan.
My week is starting as last week ended, barely able to walk due to whatever the hell I did to my foot/ankle last week. After 3 or 4 days doing as little as possible I though I'd risk a walk around the carboot sale yesterday. Big mistake. Its gone from hurting after a couple of dozen steps (which at least meant I could get around the house without much problem) to instant pain from just standing on it.
I was going to go to Doctors but getting there isn't easy without walking (or an expensive taxi ride) and odds are I'll just be told to rest it ifI do go.
On the plus side I scored about 10kg of lego yesterday so Ive been having fun putting together all the various sets, then getting frustrated when I find out the final one or two pieces are missing. Gotta go through the giant bag of mixed blocks I also got to see if it contains suitable substitutes for the missing sets.

I've left ankle injuries twice and both times it was a mistake - one was a chipped bone, the other soft tissue damage that cost me my ability to drive.

A very happy birthday to Jonathan.
I agree with Phil, you should see a doctor Andy. I've neglected an injury and as a result suffered damage to my right pinky finger that has never healed.

I'd hoped resting it uptoday would see some improvement but thats been a failure so tomorrow to the doctors. Or maybe to AandE as they'll probably go straight to xray,

Disclosure Scotland * check should come through any day now. I am somewhat limited as to what I can do at work until it comes through and I am rather eager to feel like I am properly earning my keep so that letterbox shall be watched like a hawk this week.
Realised that I have enough watchables/listenables/readables/toys in various piles picked up cheap of late to quite frankly keep me going until the end of the year, which is nice. I plan to keep a tight reign on my spending over the next six months for various reasons so temptation to spend on crap shall now be averted (I know what I am like).
-Ralph
*When working in a job with a client group classed as 'vulnerable', you need a background criminal record check done before you're allowed to be alone with anyone. So I am pretty much benched currently.

Is Neutral Feedback on eBay bad?
I got a couple of marks from someone in Holland who bought two of my marked 'Junker' auctions and was expecting the toys to be new. I got a slightly stroppy message saying he'd never buy abroad again. The feeling is mutual anyhow as selling abroad at times has been a bit of hassle, especially with disputes about shipping.
I could have been marked Negative... Maybe I should be thankful I did'nt. I already have 1 mark backstabbingly placed even after I resolved an issue with someone.
Anyways, Bogatan - get your leg checked out.
Christmas decorations coming down today...

Just add a comment to the neutral feedback saying it was sold as junk not as new and that he should have read the description.
Its all you can do nowadays.
Stupid ebay.

Bogatan, dude, what have you done to your ankle?! Inability to weighbear is not a good sign. If you don't go and get it seen to by a doctor (at A&E so they can Xray it if they want to) you'll be getting a visit from Ratchet, and he wont be happy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNNYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAARRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my new kitchen. Not quite finished, but there's enough of it to make me worship it like it's a half-naked Amazonian Goddess! Hmmmm. Gunna go lick the work-surfaces...

A very happy Birthday to Jonathan!
I'm in a similar boat as far as watchables go Ralph - between my rental queue and Birthday presents I am still watching my way through I think I am well and truly set up until the early part of next year.
My to-read pile seems to have expanded a bit as well so I really need to concentrate on making headway with some of the things that have been sitting in there for a considerable time.

Happy birthday Jonathan! I'm home! Back in Britain for a whopping 6 days before going back out to a mountain of work in the hair dryer element that is KAUST. Yay. Still, I'll enjoy the cold and the rain and the public transport and the easy access to toys and friends and family and services and all the other joys while I can get it. I went a bit nuts with the ol' Lego at Toys'r'us because of the current 3 for 2- I can scarcely imagine how much they must be going through over in the old shop. The place was mobbed when I dropped in there on Friday on the way back from the airport- I always enjoyed it when it was like that. Still, onwards and upwards. At least I won't be crippled with exhaustion come Christmas eve like the last 6 years -Nick

Went to A&E at 6.30 this morning. Wasn't there too long and was told its just a sprained ligament so rest is all that I can do. Which is what I expected but I feel better for going and as I managed to walk there and back it looks as though yesterdays rest was a good start. Though probably undone by todays walking.

Ligaments are painful things to either tear or sprain. Many years ago my brother torn a ligament in his ankle and was in pain with it for many days. The only real cure for it is lots of rest and it will get better on its own that way.

I seem to have hit a bizarre wall of fatigue which I cannot explain. Weird. Already, I long for the weekend, which is also weird because I'm not having a bad time this week or anything.

A Build-a-Figure (or what ever DC Universe call them) Imperiex arrived to me today from a nice American on ebay. Just need a 19 inch Galactus (Santa should be bringing me one!) and ULTIMATE BATTLES FOR THE UNIVERSE will commence!!!!!
