Wow. The ending to this week's ep is not just a Star Wars homage but practically shot for shot. That's awesome! I know only Nick and Ken are probably reading this but you all should!

Oh, give it a crack. Each episode is 22 minutes, Karl, or 1/27th of the time we wasted watching the last series of Torchwood. MLP is also a much better use of John DeLancie Watched the second half last night. The sense of menace and genuine threat didn't quite hold up, but I suppose there's only so long you can do that in a show aimed primarily at young girls. Or at all, before it becomes exhausting to viewers. Still, the resolution was as well thought out as usual (although I did feel sorry for poor Spike, who wound up in a terrible state and got exactly zero thanks for it) and we got our grand, Star Wars style ending There were two other statues in the garden that Discord broke out of- Harmony and Victory. I wonder if there's a story is behind the last one... -Nick

The retrospective was brilliant. Took its time getting to the point, mind.
I'm looking forward to the Luna episode. I wonder if they're going to go more deeply into the backstory of how Celestia and Nightmare Moon fell out so dramatically that the latter had to be exiled to the moon for a THOUSAND YEARS, or the culture shock of Luna returning to what must be an unrecognisable future, or take it in another direction entirely.

I mean, that's the whole plot of the season 1 opener. The season 2 Luna ep will apparently be (this is the leaked synopsis so take it with a pinch of salt): Season Two Episode 4: Luna Eclipsed Air Date: October 22, 2011 Synopsis: It's Nightmare Night and the macabre celebrations are in full swing when Luna herself shows up in Ponyville, determined to change her frightening public image
It seems to gel with the screenshots we've seen already so I'm inclined to believe it.

I hope everyone is as excited as me about this Saturday's ep! Finally one about Luna!
For those not in the know, Luna is one of the most popular characters in the show despite only appearing in one scene at the end of the second ep of season 1, with a mighty 2 lines.
That is the equivilant of Hauler being the most popular G1 Transformer.
God bless you internet.

I'm sure somewhere out there an MLP message board is breaking down the whole episode in minute detail and a full list of pop culture references will be available soon. This episode was tops! My only critique for FiM is that occasionally one character gets sort of thrown under the bus in order to work in the "lesson of the week", and I was worried that barmy ol' Pinkie Pie was the victim this time around. I was so relieved when her series of freakouts were revealed to be "for the kiddies". It seemed out of character for her to be so jittery- I wondered if she'd gotten to into character in her costume It might have been nice for her to actually let Nightm- er... Princess Luna in on her charade, though, rather than making her think her every action no matter how well intentioned was terrifying the local children. It might also have been nice if somepony had thought to talk to Luna in advance about how the annual festival honouring her had changed into a carnival-esque candython over the past 1000 years, but whaddya gonna do? -Nick

There's been quite an emergence of 'Bronies' all over the web. I like these definitions: www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=BronyI guess I am most like #3 on there, although I am a dad and nothing on there describes Brony daddys at least yet ===KEN

It also gave us the pun-tastic Quarry Eels, another addition to Equestria's already expansive bestiary.
This week's ep suggests that the artists on MLP are fans of Darkwing Duck, which is always nice to see. Also, they've seen B:TAS Mystery of the Batwoman since they used the same twist. Again, not a bad thing.

Getting our pony-fix will be more difficult, as the heat has finally caught up with Youtube sensation Pensivepony who had uploaded all the episodes so far on her account, which is now suspended. There must be another source out there. To the internet!-Nick

There's a lot more high quality ep uploaders about anyway. www.equestriadaily.com has a list of all livestreams and ep uploads as they happen each Saturday (and look at that hit counter go!!!) OMG this weeks ep was another fantastic one, maybe even better than last weeks! I'll link the youtube upload when it's up!
All the livestream rooms (there's generally about 8 public ones) were full (I didn't think that was possible, there's supposed to be no upper limit for validated accounts), and the one I managed to get in had 4700 people watching! Madness!

84 MILLION hits? Chuffin' 'ell. Tis a good resource, though. Thank you Matt! -Nick It gets half a million hits a week. I'm one of the guys behind the scenes who helps to filter through all the submissions. You'd be stunned at the amount people produce! Also link to today's ep! www.equestriadaily.com/ It's a busy website. This week's episode was a cracker. We learned another couple of bits and bobs about the MLP universe, such as: Nopony knows much about dragons, at least in Ponyville. Dragon development is dictated by living conditions rather than age, and isn't strictly linear- Big Spike in this episode looked very different from Big Spike from Twilight's uncontrolled magic discharge in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles". Ponyville has a Kaiju Alarm that sounds like an air raid siren, and probably elicits a similar response in the local populace. When in doubt, ask the zebra. She knows all. -Nick
