I'm more impressed they convinced Megatron to join the singalong, considering he must have enough lumps of coal by now to run China for ten years.

This week: The founding of Equestria in the My Little Pony Christmas Special. The true meaning of Christmas and the pitfalls of international politics summed up in one stage show.
Emmy. No question.

You beat me Nick!
This weeks ep was okay to me, but could have been better. However most people I know REALLY liked it, and I won't begrudge them that! It was still really good!
Last weeks is still the best one so far of the season I think.

Oh. My. God Absolutely fantastic episode this week, definate contender for best ever. And as the icing on the cake... Derpy is now canon! Mind blown! Hasbro are getting a bit quicker on taking down vids though there's still about 20 of each ep on there. I think they're just doing enough to protect their copyright rather than blitzing it all like other companies do, we shall see!

Yeah it was good, but I actually enjoyed last week's episode more- maybe because the ending explained all of Granny Smith's weird behaviour throughout the episode in a really satisfying payoff (and introduced another weird creature to the ever-expanding Equestria Bestiary) while Applejack's big secret this week was obvious to everyone except the characters from about two minutes in.
Ah well. Horses for courses as they say.
I thought "Derpy"'s name was Dizzy Dee?

Oh Nick you are so wrong I know the ending 'twist' was obvious but then they always are! It's all about the journey to get there. Some of the themes of this episode also resonated well with me. It's always refreshing when a show takes a more pragmatic and realistic view of life.

Ho ho look what I picked up in ASDA! For anyone tempted, the blind bags handly have numbers stamped on them somewhere, here's a key as to who's in what bag:

Actually if anyone happens to be near an ASDA could you keep a look out for these packs? Quite a few of my US buddies have asked if I could source a Heartstrings (#22), Big Mac (#11) and Golden Harvest {#8)
The numbers are embossed on the reverse of the middle flap on the packs, as per that picture.

Tempted yes... I mean errr Blaise is.
Can't get to an ASDA where I live and I've seen these on ebay/amazon for like £6 each. Unsure what the chances are of these turning up elsewhere.
BTW. Is there any news of a 3rd season of the show?

BTW. Is there any news of a 3rd season of the show? Not yet but I think it's a bit of a no-brainer. It's both successful and cheap to make!

A great ep, but also really weird!
Apparently in the US, cider as a default is non-alcoholic, whereas over here, cider is normally alcoholic.
This week's ep was all about cider, and thus seemed like all of Ponyville are raging alcoholics!

This is probably the best thing I've seen in ages. It's a fanfiction reading / animation of an infamously awful fanfic called 'Rainbow Factory' which is about Rainbow Dash running a secret conspiracy where she horribly murders little ponies and grinds them into rainbows in the titular 'Rainbow Factory' (You don't need to have read it to understand this, actually I'd advise against reading it, it's pretty bad).
As a spoof though, this goes in a completely crazy direction. Also it has a song. Don't let the length put you off, it might just be the video of the year!

Hasbro have outdone themselves this year at toyfair! After some quite poor releases they have announced: A white Celestia! Nightmare Moon Zecora! Lyra! Trixie!! DJ Pon3!!! (Who has appeared for like, 3 seconds on tv but has built up a massive following!) www.equestriadaily.com/2012/02/new-merchandise-recap-post.htmlApparently these are Toys R Us exclusives, to test the water for more show-accurate figures. I have a feeling they'll do really well. Can a Derpy and Dr Whooves be far behind?

Hey bud, you should perhaps spinoff the toy posts and give it a thread of its own. I managed to track those mystery packs down btw. I scored a Lucky Dreams. Can now use the guide for reference. Also opened Blaise's Applejack toy for her last night. It is good on this occasion there is no hat. I take the accessories away as they are quite small. I need to catch up with this show.
