That's really interesting how, with just a few colour changes, a cloak and some very minor reworking of the head that that really works as a different character - one that puts me in mind of Alpha Trion or Vector Prime. And also it totally looks like a character that would have appeared in the Marvel comics.

If they redo the Protectobots with the accuracy of the Legacy Stunticons I may be in trouble. Especially for a G2 set.

I think Protectobots would be next on my list.
They're not bad as such, but there's lots of little things there that nag, notably the size of Defensor's chest plates.
The lack of G2 CW Protectobots still bugs me. What had they done to get the cold shoulder while Menasor got made?
(I know, it's more G2 Menasor showed up for auction at the right moment!)

It's what I was hoping for from the Bandai x Takara TOMY crossover, rather than the Zoid and Gundam car. Hopefully it will happen at some point!

Trying to work out what the base toy is there. Probably one of the newer Arcadia 1/60ths (or the "Valkyrie Factory" KO thereof), or the Bandai HCM Pro maybe... Whichever it is the repaint is a stunning bit of work.
The Eagle Killer above is a really nice piece of work too. That mould works really well as a Car Ninja!

The divorce from Hasbro seems to be a good thing for the custom class, as this is an actual custom!
It may look goofy, but it's actually teaching those taking the class how to customize!
Instead of being a backdoor "exclusive" where the toy was molded in specific unique colors by hasbro, and thus the class is filled by people who only want a super rare bragging rights exclusive year after year.
This is what the custom class should have always been about.

I think I'd got it into my head that they were a different scale. (Also don't own one of them and haven't seen one in the metal-and-plastic). Does look nice next to the Macross' CAG-bird. Karl |
