Hi girls,
Thought we need a place for people to put photos of their kitbashes and to offer advice when people need it.
First item of the agenda, where's the photos of Classics AC IONMASTER Hunderracker?
Secondly... I recently dropped a figure and a small piece of plastic broke off and has been lost. Is there some sort of modelling clay type stuff that I can use to remodel the broken part and afix? What is the best way to attach the replacement part?
Ta.

I shall put up up more pics of CAMTC when I got home on Friday along with Thunderclash Magnus and Arcee. Should this be classed as fan art though?
In the mean time look to the left.
AS for you broken bit Stomski theres epoxy putty. Wilkinson, woolworths or diy stores will carry it. It comes in roles with a white inner putty and a blue epoxy outer cut of the amount you need and mush till white the apply to the broken area shape as best as possible it hardens within a few minutes, but best leave it a few hours or day and then it can be sanded cut, shaved or whatever oh and painted to match the broken section.

Good idea for a thread. I've ordered from Reprolables in the US some stickers to augment Alts Jazz and Wheeljack, and turn BT Alert into Prowl. I've always felt Jazz in partic was missing his 'number 4' etc, and the pics on their site of Wheeljack altered to green and red markings look ace. Alert to Prowl is something I've thought about for awile. Much as I love the BT/Alt mold for Prowl, I wanted to see how good he'd look with his familiar horizontal bonnet design. Don't worry, Nick, BT Prowl take pride and place in my Prowl collection!
I have all sorts of kitbash plans. Including 'Dynobots' outa the likes of the Cybertron Defense molds and Armada Megatron or Classics Onsluaght as Grimlock. And re-painint a 6" titanium Sunstorm (puttup!) into Skywarp to joing SS and TC.
Oh, just remembered, also on Reprolables they've got stickers to turn certain Alts into car versions of the Predacons. Always thought that'd be cool.

Aww. They're luvverly. Wouldn't it be great if she could get a licence to produce those commercially? I reckon they'd sell really well; a wide audience and strong crossover appeal.

Those are quite fun.
I like the Jazz especially. There is something about the character's Sunbow incarnation that really suits being a slighty chibi-fied plushie.

Ive offered to repaint Classic Starscream as Thundercracker for Shockprowl (as my Botcon one is to expensive for all but the really insane). So I thought I'd ask if anyone else would be interested. Might be worth it for anyone planning to replace SS with the japanese version.
All I need is a Classic Starscream (or possibly Skwarp, or Ramjet if you want a Dirge in TC blue) and a contribution towards paint cost and return postage. The more people the cheaper the costs as spray paints are wasteful and the more I can do in one go the less waste paint will be created.
Im also turning my kind of trashed prototype actionmaster Thundercracker into a shattered glass Thundercracker so anyone who wants an actionmaster TC same as above applies.

After seeing a picture of a proposed Headmaster Arcee in the Transformers Generations book, I want to make my own, using Chromedome's body and perhaps Highbrow's head, all repainted.
Any better ideas? I chose Gort because he has the most human-like face. What sort of paint would work best?

Pink paint would be your best bet.

I tend to use an acrylic primer (after dismantling and rubbing down with that soap stuff with crystal/beads/sand in used for removing thick oil) Greys best usually but as the pink is likely to be transparent (as I just found out on Thundercracker) then the grey will dull it, then a white base is probably better for Arcee.
I've used both kinds of paints plus enamels. If you can find the colour ready made just use that, if you can find it in a spray can even better. Mixing is a pain especially if you have to make a second batch.

that soap stuff with crystal/beads/sand in used for removing thick oil Swarfega? Demonstrating my deep knowledge of custom-making techniques, that's all I have to contribute. -Nick

Is that the brand name or the .... not brand name?
(Oi with the Poodles already!)
The stuff I have is either a different product or just a different brand. It does the job but if it isn't what Nick said it might be worth testing.
And going back to the Arcee, I can actually see why Hasbro did consider it. With a new head it would have been worth picking up.

Do you know if anyone have made any repaints at Predacons using BW toys.
I was just transforming the Armada release of Rhinox & how easy he is to transform compared to the original Transmetal one. Then looked at the toy & it could make a good repaint for Head Strong & Tantrum [without the horn]. then Leo Convoy large figure currently on sale in Universe series being the main body Razor claw with Divebomb/Rampage being arms TM terrorsaur/cheetor - with just some tape to hold them all together.

The Leo Breaker mold was repainted as Razorclaw for Botcon so there's no need for any kitbashing there.

Ascepticon (probably not the right spelling) on the TFclub boards and TFW has been building one for well over a year using Transmetals. 2 Rhinoxs for the legs with a great head mod to make a bull and robot mode heads modded to. Otherwise its exactly as you suggested. TM Cheetor for one arm. Razorclaw is using the original Leo Prime Cybertron toy thing and TM Terrorsaur for the other arm which is modded so the wings seperate and fix to Predakings back like the original.
It's not quite to my taste as hes designed it not to use any add ons, which is cool but frankly I like proper hands at least.

I was only thinking about this just after transforming Armada redo Transmetal Rhinox with out having sores fingers like with the original. Then looked at the toy & just fought of Headstrong. Looking at the Rhino head inside did make me think of Razorbeast.
I like this toy better than the TM one.
I knew one of the Leobreaker toys was repainted - but didnt know if it was just the legends one.

They've used Airazor & Ramulas. But Rampage should be sleeker than using BW TM2 Cheetor.
