All the black on SG Galvatron was annoying me so I decided to swap it for evacs blues. I forgot that the mould was originally from Cybertron and the designers at the time had a fetish for glue and pins making it near impossible to dismantle with out destroying. I utterly destroyed Evac, but thankfully Galvatron had much less glue on it and I was able to safely swap out a few of the parts.
My long dormant Impactor has so far sacrificed about a dozen other figures. Then theres the pile of PMOPs.
All of these are from last year at least, this year I dont think I've done any real damage to anything.

What's PMOPs? (almost too afraid to ask)
Way way way back. I destroyed a Dragon Beast Wars Megatron 'cos I didn't like all the, what I now know to be called, kibble all over him. This was many years before I found The Hub. I ruined the figure. Learned a powerful lesson, I did.
Good idea for a thread, by the way!

You can add a second RTS JAzz to that list, btw... The part which got warped on the first one? Broke while trying to remove it from a spare!

Ok - I thought this thread was going to be dedicated to moaning about how much money you guys had to give away to CUTA and what you could have bought for it....

Ouuuch... which one, and how? I keep wanting to customise mine, but I honestly just dislike them and would rather sell them on.

Only black, I'm afraid! And I just don't like how they stand up to either Classics or Binaltech toys... They combine bits of both, but don't have enough of what I loved of either.

That is a rather nice piece of work indeed. That colour works well on it and it looks like a terrific job on the actual painting.

I've found a nice little couple of kit bash projects to keep me occupied while I trawl the parts for more Pretenders. I'm going to use the Ironman Crossover race car for a FoC Sideswipe and the Thor A-10 Crossover for Powerglide. www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=Transformers%20CrossoversI'm also hoping to pick up the War Machine mould of the Iron Man figure and swap out any of the yellow parts for the corresponding parts on War Machine. The head should be a straight swap for the FoC Sideswipe with a little modding if required. Not sure where to start with Powerglide but can't see myself having any real dramas. I'd rather re-purpose a head than start composing one of my own. Thoughts?

Cheers Shock. I know I can always count on your support. I'm thinking Ironhide for the Humvee Capt America too... Does anyone have any of these in-hand? I've always been happy with the Star Wars Crossovers and I really liked the Hulk mold but I've heard they can be a bit hit'n'miss.

Would Universe Powerglides head work? Its big but Powerglide has a big head.
Captain America and hulk are the best of the bunch for my money, Wolverine is also good. After that I'm unimpressed with the ones I've handled.
I've had plans to do Ironfist from Cap (or Wolverine) for age both modes are pretty much perfect and the shield can be turned into the base of his Lightformer gun.
edit: just discovered that Hulks upper arms swing out. I always though he looked very narrow as I had it, but the swung out arms look a bit silly to me now.

I was going to suggest the Powerglide head, but I see I have been beaten to it. Still, best of luck with these projects, I look forward to seeing how things pan out.

Ha! I was half way through customising him into Guzzle when I came across that shoulder joint. I was taking him apart for spraying and I just thought, "Hmm... that looks like a joint. I wonder if I... As if!" It didn't do anything for the figure so I never bothered to paint under it. I'll concede, it does give him better Hulk proportions but it just looks too silly as anything else.
I looked at Universe Powerglide and like you said, my worry was the size of the head being too large. I looked at the Cyberverse figure too but like many a Bayformer, where they get the body right, they screw up the head. at the moment, the G1 minibot head is in the lead. the fact it was quite big for a minibot means it might be a doable scale... Otherwise it's off trawling faceplated figures in my collection.
Cheers for the heads up on Wolverine. I've come across him today and think he might be the solution to the Rucks I hate some much. His colours are almost bang-on and I've already got the head from Oil Pan.
Ironfist as a hummer... That sounds like a very good idea (although I still don't have a single Ironhide to my name!).

Jeebus. I didn't realize how dayglo the original was until then.
I still don't know why they didn't color him properly.

It is absolutely barking. All I can assume is that they expect you to buy the mad colour scheme first for the mold and then the correct one later, but then again, I said that for Impactor....

I already intended to repaint it, now I'm sure I will give it a go.
I do wonder if there is maybe the intention to do a new mould Jhixaus down the line as Armada Starscream while brilliant is tiny and thats why they went with the RID homage colours this time.
It's already been done with FOC to Generations Roadbuster and Whirl.
