I would never do a Seacon. I'm fairly sure that's illegal.

I've thinking of doing acustom with my BZ body. I want to turn Double Punch into his headmaster.

*has heart attack* NO DONT BREAK TWO ULTRA RARE FIGURES

Well BZ is already broken, little GPS breaks here and there. Thankfully the joints in the tail haven't gone, but most of the body is black plastic and seems stable. The idea is to make something like the chairs in the smaller headmasters had with a head master connector in it and build a face into it that combines with Double punch to form the head. Then in base mode it would make a a throne for DP to sit in as he surveys all he rules.
Also if it or part of it could turn into a set of scorpion legs for DP alt mode that would be nice.
So no damage to either toy. Hopefully.

Wow. That is amazing work.

I always thing a good gauge of such a major custom is how few parts from other toys I can recognise. It took me ages to realise this was originally a MP strike plane. Very cool.
Though not quite to my tastes, which is for the best or else I would be sad not to be able to afford it.

Went for a grand and a half! If you made even one every couple of months you'd have a great wee second income.
Fantastic piece of work all the same.

What's the best one you've seen? Either in real life or on the magical picture box? I'm starting to realy want a grit-big fook-off Devastator.
Rumblefrenzy's look amazing. 15 inches, baby!

Yeah, all his work is incredible, if I had money to burn I'd buy anything he puts up for sale. Such detail!

Wh- wh- what were they like?!
I'm so into wanting a Supream Devastator at the mo. The older Piglet gets, the more I could get for her......

green & yellow.
But they were outnumbered by Overlords.

Out of curiosity Phil, what was the average price for an Overlord?

How much were the Devastators?

How much were the Devastators? I can't remember but one set was returned because hooks leg was broken and badly glued back together, I used proper plastic cement and fixed it up nice. If your looking for an original it may not have resold. Personally I'm not a fan of Frenzy Rumbles work, the technical skill involved is amazing I just don't like the finished style of most of his work. Especially the Devvys, mostly because there is so much combiner stuff. I don't mind adding some hands and feet and a head, but those things have an entire body left behind one the constructicons are taken away. I do love Crazy Devvys custom parts for the original toys if they hadn't sold out I would have bought the legs and hips at least. Andy

Agreed on the Frenzy-Rumble stuff. It looks beautiful but the engineering leaves a lot to be desired. His Dinobot combiner was literally a giant body which the dinobots clipped to! That said, I couldn't even approach that quality of customisation and finishing

I do know what you mean about the 'extra bits' issue. I think that's why the best Dev version I've seen so far is the one in AHM (see, there was something good about AHM!), the fact that only Constructicon bits were used to form Devastator, eg, Longhaul's legs form the upper legs of Devastator, Special Teams style, which I thought works well.
Where am I likely to find custom Devastators, other than ebay?

There's some interesting bits on the various TF websites concerning a Third Party Devastator figure. The pics I've seen appear to show a voyager sized Scavenger in 'arm mode'. Interesting! Wonder how many millions it'll cost?

Seen a cool TF custom figure? Want to talk about your own customising efforts? Post about it here.

I just stumbled across a Transformers custom of Jill Valentine from Resident Evil. It uses movie-line Arcee as a basis and, as a result, looks likes it has been repeatedly hit with an ugly stick.

Now that the government has decommissioned our aircraft carriers, perhaps Transformers fans should band together to buy one and customise it as Broadside!

Um. Okay.
I'm not sure whether we'll be able to get it to fly, though.

Transforming it should be easy as long as you don't mind that in robot mode it'll be lying face down, with just the front of the ship folded back.
