Baragon will always have a special place in my heart after I wiped the floor with everybody in Godzilla: Save the Earth on Karl's x-box. Well, once anyway. He's still great.

He'd be an obvious choice, you'd think, what with Revoltech hammering out it's niche of Mech products. Jet Jaguar could come with a tiny flying version of himself and a replica of his remote control medallion which only operates by line of sight.
...
You designed this robot to FLY, you moron!

I've just noticed that there was a thread with Kaiju in it and I hadn't noticed. I'm clearly getting old!
Those Revoltech monsters are rather spiffy looking indeed. I do like the Gigan (he always looks like he is rocking cool shades......)

The only thing better than a transforming model kit of a lovely mecha design, is a transforming model kit of a lovely mecha design that someone else has already assembled.
I have acquirred from the Bay of E the transformable model kit of the VF-25 variable fighter from Macross Frontier ( pictures of the dear lady may follow once I am actually at home in daylight to take them - my camera despises artificial light).
It is a fully transformable, three-mode kit, but I haven't really transformed it much so far - content to let it sit on my desk in fighter mode and enjoy the sleekness. Transformation will no doubt follow in due course. The only problem now is that I find myself quite tempted to pick up the other variations of the -25 in this form.... which would mean having to sit their and assemble them (read, spend several weeks with my breakfast bar covered in Variable Fighter parts as a mecha slowly takes shape (where is a construction montage when I need one)).

I got a Playmobil 'skinny' Santa with a fat Snowman and some other props. They will be for a small Christmas display in the babys room.
Also got hold of a couple of Scooby Doo mystery mates and scored Sherlock Scooby and The Creeper. Possible custom Christmas decs.
Wanted to get some of the Arthur Christmas merch, but way to expensive for what the minifigs are. Maybe a price-drop in 2012 is easy to assume.

Summer time means carboot sales and despite promising myself not to buy loads of lego again like last year, people were virtually giving it away. 3 different sellers totalling £40. More of less complete sets. Once I go through the extras I think they'll be very close. Star Wars X Wing 6212 Star wars B Wing fighter 6208 Viking sets 7017 Dragon and catapult and 8019 viking ship both boxed Viking 7019 Castle missing dragons, the dragons were probably there I think but mixed in with megabloks which I didnt look at A big box of Built to Rule Prime at least is in it. And about 10kg of bricks, base plate and figures I haven't sorted through.

Oh yes also got this from a dealer that sometimes puts bits aside for me, including free lego for some reason, not that I'm complaining. I'm having a look online but figure someone here might know what it is.

Dammit Phil you beat me!
Fun fact, one of those was repainted as a model kit for Cy-Kill during the Gobots line! Yes, I know that doesn't make any sense, but they did it anyway!

You both beat me to it.
Nice find there Bogatan! Those seem to have been grey imports into this country back in the eighties (although they got a proper release in continental Europe) and they don't turn up that often.
I've seen a few of the Legioss's over the years, but the Mospeada's are much less common.

Somewhere I have some promotional material for the line so if memory serves it may have been an official UK distribution. I'll try to find and scan.

Oooh! An official UK distribution - I didn't know that.
That'd be really interesting to see if you do get a chance to look it out!
Collective wisdom has always seemed to be that the European release was concentrated on France, the Low Countries and possibly some of the South of the continental area. Interesting, and quite nice, to find out that prevailing wisdom is wrong on that count.

I can remember seeing some of them being stocked at the time.

That makes sense in terms of time-frame in relation to the french release of the Mospeada stuff (which seems to be the best documented non-asian release). This is intriquing and may be a relatively undocumented part of the story of Mospeada merchandise - certainly I've never run across any mention of a UK release before this. Karl

I dont know if it means anything but the box and instructions are entirely in English. Actually, it might. The previous european release I was aware of was a release targeted on France around the time that Gakken was trying to get out of the toy business. The presence of a box and instructions in English definitely support a British release - which might also explain the rare larger scale Legioss that show up on Ebay UK from time to time. It is definitely an interesting piece to the puzzle. Karl
