Sorry, that is a dreadful nerd joke. The Macra first appeared in a story where they were secretly running a colony, but the chap in charge denied all knowledge of them and kept saying "THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS MACRA"

I just bought a live crab. aww any pics of the wee nipper! Oddly enough, that was his name. Nipper. I brought him home from the fishmongers so happy. "Oh Nipper," I said "Not for you a short cruel life full of being eaten! No, you will be my plaything forever and ever." It was great, for a time. Nipper the Macra would befriend the Doctor, and he would ride in the TARDIS (I had to stop him chewing on the cardboard walls of the playset though.) One day though, I was setting up a battle between the Macra and the Cybermen, and in the middle of glueing a hat onto his shell, he pinched me with his claw! Crab claws are very strong. A crab can crush a tin can in one motion. There I was with this crab trying to shear off my hand, so I did what anyone else would do. I smashed him against the wall until the wallpaper was covered in crab innards. But still he would not let go. I boiled a saucepan of water and thrust my hand in there, screaming through the searing agony as Nipper and my hand cooked together in a death-lock. I had what was left for dinner. It was pretty nice. Broke my heart though. I loved that wallpaper.

oh dear...oh well.....at least you enjoyed your seafood
anyway how cruel.....smashing it against the wall! how would you like it if a crab smashed you against a wall?
+ you could've got a TF one instead! BW Rampage comes to mind, although I don't recommend smashing that against a wall either! i'm sure there was another crab bot! but his name escapes me

Poor Nipper.
Macra are evil though and deserve what comes to them.

I have a 'Macra'. Often found in seaside shops everywhere. Sent a few of these to stateside Whovians last year.

Agreed! The Master is a different variant to the one I already have, so I'll happily have another. I don't have a Brig fig yet either.

I missed the bit where it said New 3.75 scale. I am guessing Dr Who figures will go that route like everything else has taken. I already have a smaller scale McCoy from the old 80's line. He's awaiting a Death's Head to run from.

The 3rd and 4th Doctor sonic screwdrivers have been reissued in more compact packaging. Saw them in FP. This time they are a tenner instead of the prior £20 releases, hence why I swithered and did not get them previously. But now at the new price-point...
The 10th Doc normal one and future one from Silence In The Library have also been re-issued at the same price-point/packaging.

Apparently there's variants on the 3 3/4 inch figures: a Doctor in a darker coat a clear Angel a black Dalek a red dress Clara and a Cyberman with blue light and gun arm

Apparently there's variants on the 3 3/4 inch figures: What madness possessed them to release rare variants (apparently 100 per production run, whatever that means) in clear plastic cards, thus ensuring they fall quickly into the hands of scalpers. Not too concerning as most are a bit meh, but come on, why make the black Dalek rare?

I hope there will still be 5in variant of the 12th Doctor.
I saw the 3in line in the plastic the other day and wasn't sold. I think a lot detail has been lost, especially on the aliens. I'm still collecting the classics stuff from time to time.

Yeah, now that I have seen the new figs in the plastic I can avoid buying them. No issue with the new size. I just feel the execution looks cheap and awful. The spirit of Dapol rises again!

I'm sure they'll be best as were n' tear toys. In saying that, I may have to buy a few for my kids so they can leave my figures alone haha.
I bought the Daleks Collection II 3pk from B&H Bargains (£12.99) yesterday and Blaise has kidnapped them.
