I didn't bother signing up for an alert email because whenever I've done that it's always too late anyway. I'm sure some people just sit there clicking refresh all day. Given this is Character, now comes the QC trauma and the hope that the paint job is okay.

Boo! Toys R Us Boo! I ordered a 12th Doc and Clara with my 8th and today had a dispatch note for those two with no mention at all of the McGann figure. So I've no idea if I'm getting one eventually or not now!

Perhaps no news is good news then. I was just surprised that the note didn't mention the other figure at all. I'd at least expect an 'other figure will follow' to acknowledge it was part of the order.

Can't make head nor tail at the moment of what TRU are up to. The 12th & Clara figs I ordered at the same time came today with a note saying 'order complete' and no reference to the McGann one, so I thought they'd removed it from the order, then when I checked Paypal I seem to have been charged for all three, then just the two I got, then for the McGann one on top. Which does give me some hope. I'll leave it a few days to see how it shakes out, but I'm optimistic because of the separate 14.99 charge.
The irony of this new 12th figure, the first proper one, is that his head is modelled on his look in the 8th series with much shorter hair. So the spare 12th head that came with last Christmas's regeneration set is now far more in keeping with how he actually looks. I'm thinking a boil and pop might be in order to switch them over. The Clara figure, despite being a straight repaint of the Oswin one into colours Clara hasn't worn, seems much more Clara-like. Happy with those two figures to add to the Doctors/Companions collection. Must order a Missy thinking about it.

Right, Al Dewar, listen. You've just given us four versions of the same Doctor figure in different shirts, which is an even more extreme repaint use than Combiner Wars, I'm not buying all four but if you do this I'll happily buy one: Take this new figure:  Paint the jacket purple and put this head on it:  Hey presto, one bang on Season 9 Doctor. I say 9, it should be 30 something obviously, but the glass is empty and I can't remember where we've got to now. |

Picked up the figurine mag and statue NOTD McGann issue. Figure is a bit tragic and the mag is tatmongus but of course I had no choice. No choice at all.
