If VHS has a resurgence the way vinyl and tapes have you just know they'll pump out 'retro' DW VHS Special Editions. I very much fear I would be all over something like that. I moved on all my Who VHS tapes except for three, but wish I'd kept all the ones released before the £9.99 sellthru period started. |

It's okay Ralph, I knew what you were talking about. It surprises me sometimes how little of the new series I can remember. Matt Smith onwards is definitely just a blurr. I think it's because the story arcs made individual episodes less distinct and EVERY season had to end with some universe shattering cataclysmic disaster. As a whole it just feels like one mass of incoherent storytelling. |

I kept only the Trial of a Timelord tapes and tin though I regret getting rid of the other tin sits, the big Crusade box with cd and keyring and the very nice 35th aniversary Ice Warriors set with cd and book. At the time I thought they were obselete. Oh well! I do have an urge to re-acquire The Mind of Evil on VHS as I was disappointed in the dvd and blu ray releases not having the b&w version as a viewing option. Also annoyed the dvd of Silver Nemesis did not have the extended cut of the episodes, which I prefer but hold out hope it will be on the s25 blu ray set. -Ralph |

Oh wait, you saying that has reminded me I did keep the VHS tapes that had content not on the DVDs. They're in the archive at my parents' house. I do have the trial tin, the Dalek tin with the Chase in, Silver Nemesis and probably some others. I think I have the Five Doctors/Kings Demons set with the postcard book. Oh, The Ice Warriors set because it's nice. I'd totally forgotten that.

So these September three are as they were previously rumoured.
Positives
- Richard Hurndall in fingerless gloves action figure!
- Sixie's TARDIS, his first ever in the line, is a proper one and not done like the dodgy stage prop. Finally every classic Doc will have their own ship.
- A smaller wave may mean all shops get all three sets instead of the random nonsense we've had over the years.
Negatives
- Weeks and weeks of pointless visits to B&M stores trying to find them

I'm in and out of the B&Ms near me pretty regularly and I haven't seen any of the new figures, just shelf warmers from last year, but reading GB the new figures were apparently in shops three weeks ago.

I took my eye off the ball. When B&M say September it usually means mid-October so I'd not even thought about it. I've not seen any shelf space or tickets for the new ones round my way, they still have last year's 9th and 10th Doctor sets going for £7.50.

Well, I went for a long cycle this morning, and found myself in Clydebank B&M on the way back, and they had all the new sets in. Unfortunately the cycle ride was kicking my arse (turns out that not cycling daily for three years has a negative impact on your fitness - who knew?) so couldn’t take the time to message here to say I’d found them all and wait for a response - I needed to make it home to collapse instead. But I’ll try and contrive to make it back there next weekend, so if I do, and there is still stock, what are people after?

I tried a third B&M on the way home tonight but only found the old ones again, and those bobble head Daleks reduced so many times the stickers obscured the box windows.
