Finally seen more of the New New Who figures in shops in Falkirk. Tesco has things that are not Daleks - Amy Pond and some blokes who I don't really recall from early episodes - whilst Toymaster has a red Fat Dalek and Dalek Ironsides lurking on its shelves. (Along with a giant remote control Fat Dalek).

I have yet to see this red fat Dalek anywhere. I refuse to believe it exists.
It boggles my mind that the Dalek must be short-packed and yet every store has dozens of Peter the fucking Winder!

It sits on my shelf. They weren't packed in with earlier cases but disapear quicker than other figures.
I've seen a similar scale of infa red controlled figures.

If I had possessed money on me I would have picked it up, but unfortunately I had spent the contents of the wallet on food by then. I may donder back at the weekend and see if it is still there. It could team up with my Black Dalek bubble-bath container to help it with its dreams of ruling my desk.

There's a Supreme Dalek Bubble bath from last year. I'm sure they'll be a Fatlek one this year

I must have handed out two dozen Red Daleks in my final weeks at Toys'r'us. There was one in a box, along with one Tommy Dalek, two Weeping Angels (malformed and fully formed), three Winders, one Doctor, one Pond, and three other dudes. A later assortment mercifully took out a winder and put in a second red dalek.
If you don't see any out, always ask a member of staff if they have an unopened box in the back! It's your best shot.

CO have made some very dodgy case assortment decisions in their time. They make some of Hasbro's positively sensible.
The problem with this assoretment is the Fatlek & Tommylek are larger than the other figures .... but are the most popular. Multiples of both of these plus multpiles of Matt & Amy and singles of the others would have been best from the consumers POV.

Tommy Dalek..... My brain for some reason immediately read that as a Dalek who is called Tommy - and probably lives just down the road from his cousins George and Mildred Dalek.......

The Pertwee Sonic Screwdriver is rather nice. Sure, the new Doctors one is bigger, chunkier and more lighty-uppy. But there is something to be said for classic elegance.
That Dalek boxed set is rather nice too. It pretty much covers all the bases of the Dalek looks I remember from when I first saw Doctor Who, along with the added attraction of the SWD - which I remember being rather impressed by as a kid, bringing a much bigger gun to solve the problem seemed a very Daleky thing to do.

Nowt wrong with the new one, but I've never seen it set off mines, thus deterring appraoching monsters in sea vests.

Thanks to Andu, at last I have a fat red 2010 Dalek, having never caught sight of one in a shop despite much hunting! Bit of a shame the eye stalk can't move but it's a nice desk-top item. I feel the urge to pick up the Remembrance set at some point so he can boss them around and demand pies.

Wasn't planning on going into town tomorrow. I may pop in on Saturday, as long as I can stop myself from trudging off to TRU at 9 a.m. on autopilot.
I don't work there any more... I don't work there any more...

I find I cannot recommend Play.com for toy purchases. For CD's, DVD's and downloads they are fine. They send these things (other than downloads) through Royal Mail.
I ordered the 11 Doctors set from them. They were sent by courier (the ridiculously named 'Hermes'). From tracking, I have found out that said courier claimed that my address does not exist, no delivery attempt was made and they have sent it back to Play. Hopefully I will be able to get a refund. Never ordering a toy from them again.

One of my local post offices raise a query about your address when I sent you something signed..... now obviously it does exist but I wonder if there's a problem with it on some computer database somewhere?
