Oh dear, Waspinator doesn't work at all - Jazz's head is too obvious. Sentinel's head for Galvatron is passable. Oh, and I just noticed they both have the same chest. They need to try harder. On the plus side, I like the Sunstorm repaint and the transformed Galvatron is so cute - it's like Wall-E dressed up as Galvatron!

Crankstart presumably meant to be Crankshaft? They're all a mess imo.

Hmm. The Kreo Combiners look like they are a bit rubbish. But it was what the line needs to be honest - they either have to offer something that stands out from LEGO or be cheaper than it if they are going to have a snowballs chance in the long term. So I applaud the strategy, even if the execution is a little lacking at the moment.

Vortex is G2! And he comes with a Swindle-based quad!
Ooh, and I hadn't noticed in previous photos that Devastator mixes the green, yellow and orange versions!
Ah, Stealth Bumblebee is a new mould!
These seem to be displaying an improvement on robot models over the initial kits.
That's unexpected: the four combiner sets aren't equally Autobot and Decepticon.
Crankstart's in image 34.

Is it just me, or does Vortex's head look like a better fit for the Bruticus combiner?

I think Sainsburys must be having a sale on or have wrong prices up - £3 for Optimus & Bumblebee.

They're that price here, too. I meant to put it in the discounts thread, but they'd sold out when I was there yesterday, anyway. If the Argos catalogue is anything to go by, all the first series of releases have been discountinued, so expect to see clearance prices like that elsewhere.

I must say the blind bagged Kreons I picked up at AA 2012 really are quite poor, they are clearly a work in progress, not as fun as the wee Kreons who come with the big toys as they have too much kibble and the Transformation "feature" on pretty much all of them is pretty meh.
The previewed wave of combiners look nice, but they'd better be good for me to keep an interest in Kreons (already not that keen on the bigger stuff).
Marc.

Yeah, I thought the ones I picked up were quite poor and got shot of them fairly quickly. A shame. I wanted to like them, but they just aren't very good.

I'm not entirely taken by what is essentially a lie-them-down-and-they're-transformed concept, but it's an interesting direction and I look forward to seeing how the line develops further... Still, that basic transformation does make the Kreons rather more playable than the full kits. (Properly transforming kits now, please.) Yay! The two Microchangers pictured do, indeed, seem to be an improvement on the first lot! And they appear to be Windcharger and Trailbreaker, yay!
