I first saw Easter Eggs on the shelves of Woolies Clydebank, December 26th 2007. Now I see lots and lots of ads for Creme Eggs on buses. Do we even have a break of one full day between retail holidays anymore?

Nope. I see Christmas Stuff appearing in stores in August sometimes.
I am surprised Valentines Day isn't being advertised at the moment.

I hate it. Commercialism is joke. It's out of control. We're forgetting why we celebrate these things. Shamefull. But if the public at large are willing to except it, then you can't expect money making shops etc not to take advantage. Or did they cause it in the first place?

Easter Eggs are a rip off nowadays. At least with Kinder Surprise you have something to show for it.

Here Here. I do, however, enjoy chocolate in differing forms. They are a rip-off though. Valentine's cards are a rip-off to in my opionion. Mrs Shockprowl and I just get each other small gift, instead of adding to the Hallmark Empire. Hard to resist though, cards I mean, esp if you're a romantic like me.

'EASTER IS EARLY!' screamed a card above a large display of easter eggs in Woolies today. I wanted to burn it down.

If my Tesco ran to form (which I can't confirm as I wasn't there) the Christmas stuff would have come out of the "seasonal " aisle on the night of the 25th December, and been replaced by the Easter stuff. There isn't a gap as such and they couldn't move any close together without actually overlapping.

Well at my Asda decorations started being taken down at 5pm on Christmas Eve. Creme eggs were on sale before christmas and the main easter line had been in the back since before 20th December.
*sigh*

Those £5 giant Kinder Eggs are a rip off.
I like the standard ones and they have not gone up much in price over the years.

Kinder Eggs rock very hard, even though they are a bit crap when I think about it.

My very tired brain parsed that as "Kinder Eggs are very hard rocks" and for a moment there I couldn't figure out why that would be a good thing.....
I think I need a nice blackberry and nettle tea to refuel my brain cell.

I went hunting for Energon Jellys in Morrisons the other day. It didn't go well. But as part of the exercise I walked up the aisle selling Easter Eggs and spotted all sorts of stuff packed in.
Why isn't there a Transformers Easter Egg on the shelves with a pack in Minicon/Legend as a promo for the new Movie?
Missed oppotunity.
Liz has to go to Weston on Tuesday. There's a HUGE Morrisons outside of Weston. She can look for EJs there.

The Easter Eggs in general are poor this year. Lack of quality mugs and the perennial Spider-Man one. Indeed, no Marvel eggs!
I need to check Marks and Sparks. They usually have exclusive Doctor Who ones.

You can't go wrong with the £1 ones in Asda and Morrisons. We've been eating them for months.
