A lot of the collection is in bad nick, and there's a lot of duplicates. My favourite picture is the one of Scorponok with G2 Megatron for a head. And this guy has a serious love of Top Spin/Twin Twist.

Certainly hard to guess how much its all worth. Condition looks pretty poor and its padded out with a lot of merchadise type stuff. Even the boxed stuff mostly looks pretty poor. Its possible hes going to get more than its worth.
why has he spent so many photos focussing on Jumpstarters?

The toys do seem mostly junk, don't they? There's some interesting merchandise in there, especially the trunk. I've never seen one of those before. Anyone have any idea about the gold Optimus? Is that just a DIY paint job? £500 seems a lot, unless the bidders just haven't bothered looking at the photos. I have to wonder if it's being bought largely to resell the comics. "I HATE THE NEW TRANSFORMERS THEY ALL NEED BURNING THEY BRING SHAME ON THE ORIGINALS FROM THE 80,S." That seems a bit harsh. The listing has been revised since I linked it: the comment about floods and sharks, some photos and the video have all been added. Is he trying to get even more for his overpriced junkers?

You shouldn't burn Transformers, the toxic fumes will kill you

Have you seen the price of the UK comics recently they don't seem to sell anymore. Maybe due to the graphic novel releases. The amount of duplicates in there make me think a lot of that could have been car boot sale purchases. I could probably put together a similar lot if I bought all the videos I'd seen and had stock piled all the G1 toys I've found in the last few years.

Yeah, but the little bits add up quite quickly.

There are a lot of comics there and at just £1-£2 each (a realistic price), they'd add up to a decent sum. They're probably worth more than the toys, considering the overall poor condition.
No, wait, they were there, I just didn't see them because of the weird scroll bar thing that's going on.

Oh I know theres probably a couple of hundreds worth there at least, but look at the the completed listings on ebay, the majority don't sell. Admittedly the ones that do sell go for £2-5 so if the lot includes the right ones it might be worth it.

Its gone for a grand. The gold prime is spray painted (I asked the seller). My thoughts are with you bogatan, I reckon this is haul after haul from 90's bootsales, some of his own stuff and then just left in an attic/basement..
I personally would have displayed it a bit better and at least given some of the toys a dust!!

Okay, I had a good look at the pics at home, and goodness, it is rather a junkery lot isn't it!
I can only assume that the winning bidder is hoping there's somethigng good tucked away, because otherwise, cripes.

That big lot auction kinda looked cool but was clearly a load of junkers - comics that wouldn't sell, poor condition toys and obsolete videos - it just looks like a big load of bootsale hauls from the last 20 odd years. I'm only commenting to draw attention towards some bits of artwork I'd never seen before, like the Ultra Magnus picture where someone has actually coloured his cab in Optimus Prime colours, not just all white. Pretty cool.

I had hoped to pick up some Headmasters and such along with all the US exclusives while I'm in the States, but not at these mad prices. $200 for Highbrow? Really? -Nick

Amazing!
And also familiar. Did a plastic version of that come out?
I would so eat my dinner off that.

Also, how many people would be in a willing frame of mind to pay that price after basically being conned into viewing the listing by its misleading title?

Going by my hotmail e-mail account it's free listing every other weekend. And, yeah, they don't give much notice.

They are quite frequent now but, yes, they don't give much notice. If I was taking advantage of the free weekends (they're only for personal users these days, not businesses), I'd do it by creating and saving the listings on Turbo Lister as and when I had some spare time, then just uploading the whole lot when the free days come around.
