What are the worst messages people have received as sellers? Last night I got a "would you do a buy it now?". I queried how much he was willing to offer and they said the opening bid amount. Wha?

I've had that a few times. I've had someone Buy It Now on a collection-only item and then insist on me sending it via a courier service; I acquiesced to avoid -ve feedback while I was selling a lot of stuff. I mean, they paid for the service, but I had to wrap the item and cart it to the collection point, which was not part of the deal! I recently had someone who lives just down the road from me insist I send an item recorded anyway so that there was proof of postage / delivery. -Jim

I'm almost certain Ive had someone offer me a buy it now price below the start price. Then there are the "hey I saw item x didnt sell for £40 would you take £10?" Make an offer fine, but be realistic.
And one time I had something listed for about £10 including postage, when it didnt sell I got a couple of messages asking if I'd take £5 posted. I had to explain that £5 minus £3.90 postage, minus 50p ebay fee, minus 20p paypal fee and finally minus the 17p 3.5% paypal fee left me with 23p (assuming I didnt use bubble wrap and stole the tape from somewhere) so it really wasnt worth the hassle.

Wow, that's an amazing price. Especially as this auction is only missing a couple and went for a fraction of that. How bizarre. I think it ought to be made a criminal offence to say anything negative about these. They are among the holiest of holies. Pure magic.

Oh! I only glanced at it. I thought it had finished. When did these things get so expensive?! Mind you I suppose sealed ones must be rare now.

I still have a sealed Autobots Strike Oil. I've never been a MOSC collector, but it somehow feels nice to have that one still like that.

Non tf, but look at the lengths this seller went to to prove his item contains what it says: Wasn't there a sealed case of minibots a few years back and the seller didn't know what was in the box? I'm sure we joked that is was solid packed of Wheelies.

Weapon stores between the robot legs (fnar etc). That does mark it out as a chap from the second wave of RiD. I think this particular figure was incarnated as Side Burn. The rear window and spoiler look similar. -Nick

Anyone feeling flush? Noticed Pumpkingonzo has this fine piece of work listed on eBay. £163 plus change with almost 5 days left. That is not a bad bit of work at all. Mind you, the problem with a repaint like that is you would be scared to transform it for fear of rubbing the paintwork off. :-( And to go back up a bit to the worst messages on Ebay. Back when they actually welcomed private individuals as sellers I used to sometimes '"flip" toys to balance the Mecha Acquisitions Department budget. I had something on sale with my usual "I ship only within the United Kingdom" disclaimer. So a message comes in saying that they notice I only ship domestically but do I ship to <insert State of United States>. I replied back that I only ship within the United Kingdom per the auction description. Message comes back to the effect that they understand that but wonder whether I ship to their state as it is part of continental America. I limited myself to the bare minimal level of sarcasm in asking which part of the United Kingdom America currently came under... Karl
