Opened my Hal Jordan fig today. Detailed and looks like Ryan Reynolds. Obviously the lack of articulation is a letdown. Still pretty cool though.

Yes, I thought that too....not much articulation is a shame.

My local ASDA has one solitary Solar Saw Hal Jordan.
I managed to resist.

I think the movie tanking outside the US* probably did not help, alas. Maybe the kids weren't interested? Certainly, the line had decent distribution and case assortments so no blame to be laid there.
-Ralph
*Which surprised me, I have to say. I would have thought it would have played well in Eurpean markets, at least

Well the lack of variety in figures - multiples of a core cast with a few changes or vehicles wouldn't have helped. We only got the 1st wave of figures as far as I could see.

Really? I saw a wide variety of characters everywhere with wave 2 stuff out within a fortnight of wave 1. One of the better launches I've seen for a while in terms of variety/availability.

I couldn't aford the relatively dissapointing 3.3/4" line, but I am one of the few who completed almost the entire Movie Masters line. All I lack are Greenman and Abin Sur. The alien lanterns are cool, and look good with the DCUC figures (Given we'll *never* get DCUC style figures of Isamot, Gallus Zed, Rot Lop Fan, and such). Morro is one of my favorite figures now. And Parallax has issues, I'll admit... but completed and in person, it is a *lot* better than it looks in internet pictures. The level of detail on it is impressive, and it doesn't deserve all the flak it gets. It's huge as well, and it comes with a tiny translucent Hal Jordan that can peg to a hole in one of it's tenticles, or you can put him inside it's chest cavity like it ate him. My only real complaints, I wish it came with a stand capable of holding the completed figure, I wish it had a few more holes you could peg Jordan into, and I wish it's articulation was better. Wouldn't have taken much... more range with it's head, and a joint in it's waist would have been all it needed to make me happy.

Thanks to Nick I now have more Gl toys. Including the evil Guardian Krona who unleashed parallax. Best thing about him he is a finger puppet. You can stick a finger up his robe and he can be all evil Guardian thanks to some hand waving.
