Balance request arrived for this chap: Just Windy and Bee (if they're going to do one, I hope so, so we get a half decent MP version) to go for the six. The '85 line is just missing Cosmos. My only gripe with this figure is that they've done *6* different facial expressions for him and not one of them is the toy version.

As usual, those who worship at the alter of sunbow and the toymakers who cater exclusively to them, continue to ignore the fact that sunbow is not the center of the universe, and those experiences are not universal.

So I got this today, MP TM2 Botcon Arcee TransArt Metal Jungle Pink Spider
First, She is utterly gorgeous.
Second, she is absolutely not worth her price. MP and Kingdom both utilize a magic system to achieve their amazing appearances.
Arcee does not. The entire spider mode sits on her back, and just... straight up removes. Completely unnecessary for robot. I guess this is pretty much on point for recent Arcees, though.
She does not have instructions, instead is a QR code for the above video. Which leaves you on your own, because she comes packaged in robot, and disassembled. But once you get her into spider mode, there's a bad video to sorta show you how to get her to robot.
Still, she's cheaper than the botcon toy.

Oh, and in a bit of "someone was too horny" weirdness, her top comes off (held on magnetically) to reveal two pretty sizable organic bazongas.

Acquirred another hinky robot toy at TFN. Picked up Fanshobby Athena, their copyright-violating version of Minerva from Masterforce.
Yes, I already had the Hasbro Minerva, but I found myself wanting one that actually in some way resembled the design of the character - rather than Hasbros' "what, we repainted the girl robot for this year in red-and-white that's close enough isn't it?
It is not, in any way, shape or form a good toy. But in terms of a shelf-display piece to occassionally get down and fiddle with a bit, like my Macross stuff, they've done a good job. (That said, although I haven't tested it, I think that Athena might actually have the ground clearance to allow her Transtector's vehicle mode to roll properly on a flat surface - which would be one-up for her on the Habsro version!).
Like a lot of Fanshobby's output it is not bad at all as dodgy robots go. I think I might see about sourcing Kap and Ace Hitter so that they three of them can team up with God Ginrai. That'll rebalance the scales nicely against Overlord, Black Zarak and the Darkwings Brothers...

Managed to get FT Superion built yesterday, my goodness what an absolute monster it is. The wings on air raid / sky dive are a bit of a mess but it's such a stable combiner thanks to the frame. Can't wait for their Menasor now!

Picked up this Fugu Model KO of a Macross figure done in Jetfire colours. The box is pushing the boundaries of infringement... Figure is 1/60 scale, versus the 1/55 of G1 Jetfire, so is a bit smaller than the original. Looks great with Missing Link Prime, which was my main reason for buying.

I'm inclined to say that it is less "pushing the boundaries" of infringing and standing right in square in the middle of infringing doing that one fingered "bring it on" pose from a Kung Fu film. :-)
