That's a pretty poor paint job for a commercial release.

I imagine it is a paint-it-yourself model kit.
No excuse for the showpiece toy being done so badly!

Impossible Toys - Quint-01
Just got this guy off ebay today, and he's pretty cool, lovely electronic lights and very well made (if you don't count the very brittle spikes on his head).
Only thing is, mine leans very much to one side due to the way the stand is constructed. Annoyingly so. I've tried pulling the stand out at an angle from the base so it corrects, but no joy.
Has anyone else had this problem?
P.S. He's on sale at $20 now at TFSource.

TF Source Stocking StufferI have to say I am dissapointed with this years offering. A small individual toy alone like with the previous years exclusives would have been much better than a few gestault parts. I don't own a Superion and certainly would not pay £40 for extra bits. It does look cool though and has made me curious as to how good Superion is as a toy. The Christmas Dinobots after 3 years in a row have definitley had thier run (despite Slag being left out), but I was hoping TFSource would have come up with something fun again. I guess I'll stick a Santa hat on ROTF Prime and be done with it ===KEN

They might as well have finished the christmas dino set. I thought it was Snarl that hadn't been done though. No Snarl and Slag. 2 Grimlocks and swoop and Sludge last year wasn't it?
Shame Blaster and Shockwave weren't ready. A Christmas deco Shockwave would have been great. We'll probably get it next year.

Snarl G2 and Clear Sludge were last years set. I gave TFsource the idea a couple of years ago to do a reindeer Slag and they liked it. It can't have been that hard to do. Instead they re-used Grimlock and gave him the antlers. Festive Jukebox Blaster would have been decent ===KEN

Arise NOVA PRIME! Sadly not an official figure, but one made by a fan group. Also it is unlikely to be available in larger numbers. But c'mon, how awesome is this! Vehicle Mode Robot Mode Combined Mode More Pics and a Q&A on their website: mastercollectors.blogspot.com/

V. small torso and head.
If I were a Decepticon, I reckon that teeny waist would be a fatal weak point to target.

It looks like they have a potential to produce a fairly good version of the Nova Prime design. Which, from my point of view is a plus and a minus. One the one hand it is always nice to see a good rendition of something. On the other it would be a good rendition of a design I don't really like that much...

Fan-made Cobra mini robot for your headless headmaster. I have to admit that I can't see the appeal, though I'm sure that some people, like Catherine Howard, will buy it to replace their missing head.

Wow, on the one hand I love Headmasters, I love the idea of there being more heads for them, and I think it is a fantastic and brilliant endevour. On the other hand, damn, that is one ugly looking robot head

There was a shed load of these designs in The Ark II. Off the top of my head I can't remember whether they were mail away toys or unused designs...
This was one of them though. If I ever see one in the flesh, I may buy.

I can see myself picking up one of those if it gets good reviews for decent plastic quality. -Ralph

It seems to be pretty cheap too. $15 I think.

They have done a decent job with that. Not something I would be bothered about picking up - not owning any compatible Transtectors for it to merge with and all - but I do appreciate the work that has gone into realising it.

I have a few headless bots but I've got to agree with Blueshift, not the greatest looking head. If I see it in person it's in the impulse buy price range, but I don't think I'd order it online.

Yesss! Thats not the most clever thing I've ever seen. I am really tempted by these two though and $50 each isn't bad at all.

www.tfcon.ca/gallery/TFcon-2010-Night-birdHere's some shots of the Nightbird toy, A repainted Arcee, boy oh boy. An interesting fan-mod, that's no doubt, But for me, Sunbow homages don't hold much clout. Insanely expensive (£100!), and I must say, I don't like toys that are so grey.

Headmasters seem to be getting a surge of love at the moment, so I think Headrobots deserves a thread. www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/universe-classics-20-29/headrobots-hothead-blood-and-gyro-updates-170272/New pics are out of their offerings. Firstly 'Hothead' who is a headmaster for Universe Hardhead. It would be a must-buy for me if I could find a Universe Hardhead They're going for mad prices on ebay at the ment Also are non-transforming replacement heads for the Movie Whirl / Bludgeon set to make them into G1 Bludgeon / Whirl. Less sold on these guys, HOWEVER most Home Bargains stores have a ton of the Whirl/Bludgeon sets for a tenner if anyone needs one!

I could be most tempted on the heads for Whirl/Bludgeon, dependant on price. My efforts to get Universe Hardhead have not been successful. -Ralph
