It seems unusually warlike for an Autobot, maybe that's why? Ironic if true.

Maybe something as simple as script changes meaning Magnus does not transform in #1?

Rodimus Prime only transformed once when Simon Furman was writing #113-254 [note when Rodimus appeared again after this issue its was reprints or dead Rodimus for the rest of the Marvel run]

Hmm... Rodimus seems to be wearing Ironman's head as a chestplate in the internal artwork and developed a set of Wolverine-like arm claws on the cover. Pointy!

It's a good premise, and it looks like the getting together of the band (or at least the vast majority) will all be done in issue 1. Which is something i endorse.
Great interplay between Bumblebee and Ratchet as friends going their separate ways it was what wasn't said that was quite telling. The exchange felt like one of friends, there was a shorthand to it that is true of close friends.
Prowl's inflexibility was quite well done in that one panel, whatever book he ends up in I do hope this plot strand is continued with.

I want to find out what the foil enhancement is on the covers. The logo in silver foil on top or the blue bits on the characters on each cover?
Good review - so its only the collected 4 cover gatefold issue with the foil on it. That one does look good.

Well, that is one of the few previews I've seen for a Transformers comic in a good long while which has actually made me want to read the actual comic (instead of having the converse effect).

I deliberately haven't looked at the previews (when comics are $4, I don't want to have already read a quarter of it) but I plan to grab it off Comixology tomorrow evening.

The TF logo and the "More Than Meets The Eye" title across the top of the book is foil enchanced on all 5 [five!] regular covers. Dunno about the gatefold or sketch variant, haven't received them yet. As for the issue itself, excellent stuff, everyone should read it!

By what time is it likely to be on the shelves? Seriously considering racing across Central London at lunchtime to grab a copy or five. It feels good to be excited about Transformers comics again!

It's on Orbital's shelves already, we put them out after closing on a Tuesday so they're ready first thing when we open on Wednesday [10:30am]!

They're already on the shelves? Come on, why no midnight opening? Surely of anything released in 2012 this should be the one!

My local American comic shop is having big problems getting this title (and RID) - any one else experiencing this?

IDW have done 12 images. Which characters can you find?
Brain storm, Rung, rewind, swerve, whirl, ratchet, Drift, Cyclonus,
redalert, rodimus, Ultra magnus, chromedome
Not listed the sites because it is suposed to be a fun treasure hunt to find them.

Just read it. I thought it was excellent. I really can't find anything to fault at all, in start contrast to the last 2 relaunches. Hooray!
Tailgate is the sensational character find of 2012!

Various TF sites around the web have been given what are effectively flyers with MTMTE TF's images and a cryptic little saying on them. It's a fun little game to raise interest in the book. IDW are thinking of doing the same for RiD.

Absolutely fantastic, loved every page. Tailgate is a childhood favourite, and Swerve gets a great entrance.
I'll be reading it again on the way into work tomorrow (it's not often these days I reread anything).

Tip top work from start to finish.
Definitely the best relaunch of Transformers we've had. Double dipping on this getting it in print and digital.
