I'm wondering if it might be cheaper going up to Edinburger than down to Birminghamburger?
Ah well got a month to decide.

I'm still quite proud of the fact that I'm still the only person who's ever flown to ScotCon! I flew back from KAUST for Scotcon last year! Also to get a break from the relentless heat. We are Air-Scotcon Brothers! -Nick

Sorry James, I didn't realise that you'd flown there as well. As far as I know, I am still the first to do it in 2007. Considering I'm not from Britian, that also makes me the first ever international attendee.
Still seriously thinking about it. I might only be able to make the Saturday activities, though, as my other half is also thinking of coming so she can visit her relatives in Kirkaldy (I hope I spelled that correctly).

Kirkcaldy, but I shall let you off.
Tony is indeed the first true international attendee.

I'm still quite proud of the fact that I'm still the only person who's ever flown to ScotCon! And there was me proud of getting the train up from Cardiff every year and so saving carbon emissions. Though I admit that getting the train from Ireland might be a bit tricky. Martin

Right, I've got the time off work for a few days afore and after. I'm going to need to make arrangements for shelter- if anyone can offer 6ft 7" x 3ft of floor space, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I shall need to look into 'arrangements'.

If you don't mind having to get the train from Falkirk to Edinburgh each day (it is about a tenner return or thereabouts I think) then I'd be happy to put you up - either in the spare bedroom, or on the floor, or the couch or whatever. Right.
A rough timetable - subject to change.
Meet up at Haymarket at 11am on Saturday We establish a base camp. Activities will be: 24 Minute Comic Book challenge. Each participant has up to 24 minutes to do something, before it is passed to the next person, until we've all had a go. The aim a complete story of sorts.
THE YOMTOV FACTOR!!!! - Burns is doing all this. I am already afraid.
Quiz of Doom - Nick will be weighing in again.
At some point if everyone is agreeable - bowling will happen, also Nandos.
Rumours of a certain someone reading paragraphs from the Transformers based erotica I've been writing. Imagine Twilight with robots. And filth have yet to be substantiated.

I had also hoped to make Scotcon, but I'm going to Germany the week after and have moved my holiday off work and disposable income for the week to that instead. Just some bad timing, I'm afraid.

I won't be finished at work until 15:30 but I am just four minutes along the road from Haymarket so if we can set a rendezvous point I can meet up with folk about 15:35.

Cool beans!
Kaptain - if you are still able to provide a space for my prone form; I would very much appreciate it. I'll have to come back 'ome on the late Saturday evening to ensure I'm in the house on Sunday morning - as I'm *get this* fitting a washing machine with Lyndsay's dad.
