I think moving on to the White Russian cocktails proved to be my downfall.

Absolutely tip top weekend guys.
Highlights -regaining my Yomtov Factor crown. Coming second in the quiz of doom and winning Marvel US Transformers issue 1. Engaging in spirited debate about where Asgard is with Ralph. To the amusement of the assembled ranks.
24 minute comic was a hoot. Will scan it tomorrow.
Mr Spence doing Ralph up like a kipper with the jape of the weekend.

A magnificent weekend indeed, crowned by my shortest ever changeover at Crewe station on the way home, hurray!
Thanks, guys.

The Yomtov Factor has been retired. Next year is Prowl's Orientation Nightmare Group (P.O.N.G.).

I had decided prior that this was the last one as I felt the way it was devised this year would end it on a fiendish high. Once it moves into Playdoh the time has come to devise a new and even more frightening challenge.
P.O.N.G. for 2012!

I quake with terror at the thought of P.O.N.G.
This year's Scotcon was a fine, fine weekend indeed. It was a great pleasure, as ever, to be assembled together for banter, laughter, the torment of the Yomtov Factor, and the pain of the Quiz of Doom.
To think that I came so close to defeating Nick at Bowling.... only for his kung-fu to prove superior at the last moment. Perhaps I should seek out a crotchety old sifu from whom to learn a new Bowling style so that I am prepared for the inevitable rematch....

Well done Ralph for agreeing that Asgard is in an extradimensional realm.

It is Nick's destiny to be defeated at bowling. I look forward to your attempts. Winning at the bowling at least made up for my woeful attempt at the 24 minute comic challenge. I had it all planned out- I just couldn't get it on the paper fast enough. -Nick

That was your problem. PLANNING!
You just DO on challenges like that and it's easier to make it happen.

My problem was sitting there for five of my 24 minutes trying desperately to remember what Galvatron's head looked like in profile!

Because you planned it! Just attacking the paper is what you do in these things. The minute you were stuck you should have just thought sod it I will do something else!
