Hmmmm, it's like the voyager figure, but larger. I don't dislike it at all, the robot mode is nice and alien, but it ain't doin' enough to me for me to buy it.

I will wait until I see it in the toy shop so I can press its chest button before deciding.

The Movie line went right through 2008, so it seems reasonable to assume that the ROTF line will last through next year. Although, the ROTF line doesn't seem to have had the same impact, so maybe it won't have enough momentum to last that long. We will also have Animated alongside next year's ROTF, though personally I don't expect to see anything new beyond what we've already seen, with the 2010 line being made up of just whatever's yet to be released.
I don't expect to see any wholly new line unveiled at (New York) Toy Fair, I think it'll be a while yet. I'd like to see more Universe.

That's unfortunately what I also think. And I say unfortunately because for all my complaining, it would be nice to have something NEW to complain about ... But seriously - I wonder... could it be that Hasbro are playing it safe? They did well with the movie, but I expect that with the poor economy perhaps they don't want to rush headlong into investing in a new line quite yet. Maybe they'll hope to drag things out until Transformers 3? As for the tv - they have plenty of material to keep the kid's attention for another year worth of re-runs... Who knows. We'll see... Pete

The new ROTF Brawn and Lockdown moulds look great. The latter is particularly good, managing to resemble his Animated counterpart and provide much more detail. I'm not too sure about the Skystalker, but it may grow on me. Edit Deluxe Brawn looks great as well. I've never liked the larger size toy, but the robot mode for the Deluxe looks great.

Due to the success of the ROTF line, Hasbro are releasing a fifth leader-class toy in 2010. This fella.Speaking as a Toys'r'us toyologist, I can confirm that there is demand for this character in such a size. -Nick

Didn't see that coming to be honest, despite Bumblebee's popularity.
I am happy with my Deluxe Bumblebee from TF2007. A Leader sized one stood with Prime and Jetfire would irritate me.
I was secretly hoping for a Leader Grindor/Blackout and/or Bonecrusher.

Ugh, the good Universe repaints are packaged with the crappy ROTF molds.
That Starscream needs to be burnt, seriously.

My apologies if this has already been mentioned. It's apparently been known for a couple of months but has only just come to my attention. The USA has a mail-in promotion on NEST packages for a vacuum metallized Ravage. tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:ROTFtoy-RavageRecon.jpg Looks like a turbo-revvin' young punk to me.

As much as I applaud the return of the mail-away exclusive toy, the choice (another version of Ravage with a red head. /Really/?) is terribly uninspiring

But it's Punk Ravage. Look at that red mohican. I'm starting a campaign to make Punk Ravage his official unofficial moniker.
We need to get Vivienne Westwood on board to petition Hasbro for a UK release.

It is so boring to me. But then again, most partial redecos that are supposed to be the same character are boring to me.
Now, if he'd been ALL red and called say, uh, BABBAGE, then I'd be all over him.
Or green, and called CABBAGE

I'm blase on them. The Prime is pretty cool, but they don't transform, they are just vehicles with guns!
Now if they had little seats for figures to sit in. And the figures had maybe, MASKS to wear, then we'd be talking...

Yep.
Or if they were scout size. But Voyager size? Nevermind, plenty of other stuff coming out!
